Hi Sree,

I booked i20 CRDi Sportz in May. I tried bargaining and since it is a diesel car, they aren't offering any freebies/goodies. I am bad at bargaining though.

Another TBHP user, 'quadbike', was mentioning on the i20 official review thread that a dealer is throwing in leather seat covers with the same model. From his profile, it looks like he is from Trivandrum. Please check with him as well.

Do keep us posted on what your final choice would be based on the TD, whether it is going to be an i20 or a Punto.

For people looking to buy a Hyundai at Hyderabad. I received a letter from Talwar Hyundai advertising upto 65000 discount on the i10. Era now comes at 3.54L now (ofcourse with the famous 'Conditions Apply' clause). Some of my friends were also talking about some discounts on Petrol only models across their range.

City update was launched with revised pricing in December.
Its a petrol car and I cant simply understand the logic they are following.
In just 8 months, Honda has hiked the price on the City as follows;
All prices ex-showroom Delhi.

yeterday i recd mail regarding dicount of rs 60000 on i10 including corporate and retail offer put togather . You can always negotiate for further 5to 7 k from dealer side

Any idea of there are any discounts on the Diesel Hatches. My BiL wants to gift my sister for her Birthday this Month. Will check with dealers for immediate deliveries. Petrol ruled out for now.

We already have a Swift Zdi so that is ruled out as of now. From the rest we are keenly looking at Nissan Micra, Hyundai i20 (have old Verna, expensive Maintenance) and VW Polo. If there are really lucrative deals from any of the manufacturers I would like to consider them as this car will mostly be for city drive. For Highways there are other rides.
