Wow.. Looks like a mixup of i10 and i20.. Front looks more like the i10.. Rear looks like the latter. Hope it doesnt suffer from an identity crisis

Korean design at it's 'hideous' best. Bet it will cannibalise sales of i10. I think the pics are skewed by the 'fish eye' lens used. I think if the side profile has to be believed then not only a wheel upsize but a wheel well upsize will be required.

Yeah I was wondering, how is the i10 going to sell if this is offered at 50k less? It looks to be the same size as the i10, maybe a little smaller. I'm sure the interior wouldn't be too different, in terms of space.

If Hyundai offer the Eon with some essential features, then I don't see how the i10 would sell at all! And with the i10, now available at 3.49 lakhs ex-showroom, how are they going to price the Eon?

The 800cc engine would be just about 'okay' for city driving. The FE should be pretty good. This car would be a good alternative to the Alto K10 and the A-Star. Unless it is priced at around 2.5 lakhs, it would not really affect Nano sales.

Well, the fluidic design certainly is churning out some dramatic looking cars for Hyundai, this being no exception. Wonder where would they price the car in such a packed segment?

The water fall dash theme goes forward; order of the day like in the new swift.

More than the i10 the threat is to the aging Alto including its K10 twin. Where Alto vanishes the A Star would come up, that too with the facelift long over due. The competition is going to be between Eon and A Star.
And this is where the new 800 from the Maruti stable kicks in. The mini car scene is surely hotting up.

Front and Rear look is good enough but the side profile looks a bit messed up.

The wheels look way too small and hence making the car look like a toy.

This may not actually eat up sales of the i10. It would be a good looking product but the feel won't be as plush as that of i10.

Those wheels...they need to put on some muscle. And the whole design, to my eye, is just a bit hideous. Mind you, it'll do damn well. A cheaper i10 is what it'll be. It's just that most Korean designs are hit or miss, and this one is a bit of a miss for me.

Another winner from Hyundai I suppose. I think the car looks beautiful. The interiors look good too. I am sure Hyundai will price it aggressively with great engine options. I think Alto/Astar are going to suffer the most with this launch. But I think this car will be positioned below i10. This car looks quite similar to i10 - Rather this is a Verna-ised i10 OR a fluidic i10. Any idea on possible launch?

Rear styling is slightly like the i30

Looks hideous to say the least. I did not like the side profile. The front now is all predictable with that heaxagonal grill. However if priced right, it can easily clock 10K sales per month.

Tiny Wheels and a giant body. Wheels upsize is required, else there will be lots of body roll and handling will take a big hit on the EON

Side profile reminds me of the Chevrolet Beat!

Looks like the competition is going to heat up with Nano going to suffer the most.

Cheers!

+1 The side profile is similar to Chevy Beat! Overkill of Fluidic design but looks better than Beat IMO.

Are the wheels really tiny or is it due to camera perspective?

Article in Economic Times. Hyundai planning to launch it between October 10 and 15, days ahead of Diwali at a starting price of 2.50 lakh to 2.60 lakh.
