The front of that S1000 RR reminds me of the cover of Stephen King's Cujo. Horribly unbalanced IMHO

And because I remember the cover of Cujo very vividly, and the story was so horrible, the front of this bike gives me the creeps

BMW tourers have been carrying the asymmetry for quite some time now, havent they?

I do remember the first time i saw something like this.
used to a be bike called the "onyx", i think, featured in "auto india"(ah, the sole diet), early nineties.
anyone remember that?
ive looke dand looked for a picture/trace, just cant find it.

It was a very disappointing show. It just felt like a huge showroom of cars we see on our roads.

Thanks for the pics. One suggestion from my side is to make the watermark transparent or move it to corners instead of centre. Right now the watermark is so prominent that it takes away the beauty of the pics.

Guess the upcoming show "Relio Quick Auto Mall 2011" in september has something in store that could relish.

Last year they had a few Premium segment vehicles including a yacht on display.

Have to wait & see what they have to offer this time. Some imported beasts on 2/4/6/8 wheels may be!?

The Relio Quick Auto Mall 2011, I just hope this will showcase some exotics...its happening from the 16-18th September.

They had the Chevy Camaro last time...which captured audience.

Yes, the auto show was never worth 100 bugs. It would have been fair for 50. The visit was worth:

1. All New Prius (doors closed however)
2. 50% discount on yearly subscription of Times Publication mags.
3. Vintage car palace
4. Motormind. The matte finished Bimmer was all looks.

As for disappointments, anything other than the above were. But the major ones being:

1. Stunt show: Absolute waste.The host were blabbing out "First time in history' every few seconds.

. I wonder where he came from..remotest parts of Himalayan?

2. Ambiance: They advertised its air-coned, I never felt the fact.

Can Someone please throw more light on why auto majors do not reveal the upcoming or latest models ?

Exmaple, to check out the Maruti A-Star or the new fludic hyundai verna, we could jolly-well go to the nearest showroom and take a look to our heart's content.

Auto Expo is a place where many people would come to see a product and displaying the same increases the popularity.

I still dont understand why manufacturers dont display their new/ premium cars.

thoughts anyone ?

Alright! Sources say that RR (Rolls Royce) is one of the major attractions at the upcoming Auto Mall and some new brands/variants are being unveiled! Got to wait & see if biggies are going to make their route into the show too!

The Times Auto Show 2011 is ongoing between 15 and 18th December. I was told of this by a friend who sent me this picture.

The auto show was totally a waste. As others on this thread said, it was one big showroom. Entrance fee Rs.49.

There was a "Dirt King" race scheduled at 2PM and I was very excited about it. Another entrance fee Rs.49.

But....... There was a clause on the ticket which made me walk out of the auto show. It said "Photography is prohibited - You are liable to security check". Isn't it rather shameful for an auto show to prohibit photographs? I agree that there were no checks and people were taking photographs. But who knows? I don't like any idiots handling my camera if they did a 'security check'. So, I walked out.
