new camry coming soon

hi people

hey today i just saw the new camry on the road

there were three of them (white, silver, skyish blue) unregistered in slow moving traffic

i could only see the side & rear of the car

and by what i have seen i am pretty impressed

the rear lights had hint of the BMW 5-series

it does not look like the old camry at all it is a bit european in styling

i started the new 07 camry thread back in dec while i was in delhi..i want one..too many accords on the road and this camry is not even close to the old one..old one was a shame of a design..

toyota is only moving for the good..the IS is nice..GS is awesome and LS is just jaw dropping..avalon which is based on GS is nice looking too..now only if the IS coupe and the LF-A turn out this good..it would be decent competition for infiniti..

but i would like to see an LS coupe to compete with CL, since lexus is going all after mercedes and BMW...i have heard of a BS which is going to compete with 1 series..SR or something to compete with CLK and all..

anyhow i am excited to see the camry in india so soon..good move by toyota..please let me know of the pricing if you get to know..

Its here already! I still havent seen it on road in the US,even the Toyota USA doesnt list the new version.
Now only if Toyota can price it wisely and go head on with the accord it would take away alot of hondas market and we would get a little more variety on the road rather that just accords!

It will be here (India) very shortly (few months) or at least that's what a top level person at Lanson Toyota, Chennai told me when he met me 10 or so days ago.

Not at all looking good!!!. Especially the grill and rear boot and stop light design. Interiors are looking good in top end model.

the rear lights remind me of the sonata embera. the headlights are nice too look at but they went overboard with the grill. btw i absolutely love the interiors. any idea of the price range?

More over-priced Japanese cars? Get them here. Indians really need 'em. But seriously, the Accord looks way better. Wonder where Toyota gets its fugly designs from!
