Re: My experience with Acko Insurance I've had a really bad experience while trying to procure a No Claim Bonus Certificate from Acko.
In May 2023, I renewed the policy and took a 'No Claim Bonus protector' addon, since I had 50% NCB on the comprehensive policy on my Hyundai Grand i10. The protector allows you to claim the insurance once without actually voiding the existing NCB.
In June 2023, I claimed insurance. The claim process was smooth enough, and in May 2024, I renewed the insurance and got the 50% NCB benefit.
Now, in June 2024, I sold my car and the vehicle was transferred to the new owner. In order to transfer the insurance, the new owner was made to pay the NCB amount. When I emailed Acko to give me (previous owner) the 50% No Claim Bonus Certificate, the company refused, without any logical explanation, and they failed to produce any written rule that prohibits the NCB certificate.
While I'll continue fighting for this, I just want to put it out there for potential ACKO policy buyers. There are many other companies out there that are far better and make life much easier than ACKO. I'll never buy or recommend ACKO insurance again. |
