Zero depreciation Insurance coverage for 7+ year old luxury cars

Hi bhpians,

In the coming month, my Mercedes 7th-year insurance will expire. All these 7 years it was covered with Nil depp insurance. I want to renew it with Nil depp Insurance only ( not having nil depp insurance on Mercedes is a nightmare).

So I want to ask the owners of 7+-year-old luxury cars, which company will provide Zero depp for the car.

I have checked with Hdfc ergo, Royal Sundaram, Acko, Liberty, and major players and they all said no.

But I think there must be 1 or 2 companies that can provide Nil depp.
TIA

Thanks, GTO for sharing. I called Royal Sundaram Customer Care yesterday but they are saying no for giving my car a Nil Depp. Cover.

Try getting hold of an insurance broker. They have their ways of dealing with insurance companies. But if you still hear a refusal, they probably just offer it to their existing customers (I have been with them for a while).

A broker will definitely help. By 9yr old X3 (Now sold) was insured by Royal Sunderam with Nil Dep cover till the end. They were hesitant for the final year but my agent got it done.

On my X1 (2018) I had a claim last year which means no NCB. Existing insurer giving only comprehensive @ 30k, while one other offers Zero Dep @ 1.2L.
Is it worth taking going for the extra 90k?

The zero dep add on premium is too steep. It is better to go out for a search in market for competitive quotes.

The only provider giving zero dep is Reliance and they're not giving any discount to be previous claim. This is what the agent says. Online ones IDV is too low. Thinking of going ahead

My 10yr old superb Zero Dep insurance was denied by all including Royal Sundaram under which my car was insured .Until then had no issues renewing.
