Best Maruti Dealers in Bangalore

Hi,

Firstly i'm sorry if such a discussion already exists here. I am planning to buy a Swift VXI and was looking to find out which is the best dealership I should go to in Bangalore. Couldn't quite locate a discussion to this effect hence starting a thread.

So yeah, i've decided to go for a red Swift VXI with ABS. The waiting period being quoted by almost all dealers in Bangalore is between 2-to-5 months. None of them are giving any discount apart from Corporate disc (no dealer disc, no finance discount)

Is that the scenario these days or should i bargain more?! And which is the best dealership for buying a new car?

Thanks.

Thanks McLaren, have gone through that thread, it focuses more on the after sales services. I was interested in eliciting views on the dealers for sales for now.

According to me RNS and Mandovi are best dealers in Bangalore based on people's feedback and my own experience.

Stay away from BIMAL (many shouted at BIMAL dealership for pathetic irresponsible service) and Pratham is quiet ok.

RNS and Mandovi rated best dealers as per I know.

Regards,

Ravi.

Try Kalyani motors on Mysore road (Near Shell petrol pumps). The lead times for Swift there are the least across dealers. I got my Swift D in two weeks (But that was in Feb 2007).

I will give different perspective!

When you buy, go with dealer who gives good deal. Then on, for service, stick to best service shop (this needn't be the one you bought from).

I lately realized it and checking for various options to service my car.

Booked with Pratham...took a booking amount of 20K (Bimal asked 50K), nice salesman, and best thing is i could get the delivery in about 2 weeks!!!

Not too much interms of discount or freebies though. Just a corporate discount and basic accessories (mats and sunfilm). But thats because of the high demand for swift i guess.

Pratham sales experience is good, service can be a mixed bag. Tell them clearly about your expectations, try to strike a rapport with them and it will be better.

Sweet experience turned sour!

Man they are all the same aren't they...I had booked a Bright Red Swift VXi with ABS about a week back at Pratham Motors (Bangalore) and the sales person had told me that they have an extra red swift in transit and he will give that one to me. So I was to have got delivery sometime this week.

However, no sooner I submitted documents for my loan at Pratham office, I get a call from my sales guy and he tells me "sir the truck that was carrying your car met with an accident and all 6 cars in it got damaged and we are sending them back"!!! He further says that he has a silver color car instead and can give to me this week. I insisted on a red one and he tells me I need to wait for two months...How ridiculous!!!

This is definitely crap explanation. Even if this truck was met with accident, you are still in priority list and they should allocate next slot. Try escalating.

Try Madhu, he is the GM of Sales @ Pratham.

If you get the run around then say you want to speak to the concerned authority at Maruti itself. Some documentary evidence of the car being allotted in your name, details of the truck's accident etc.

Make sure the sales chap apologizes to you in writing/publicly if this was all just a big bundle.

Yup, and after that, book at RNS Yeswantpur. Meet the GM Patil there and if required drop mclaren1885's (Rahul) name with him.

Thanks s0uljah!! It did work...Spoke with Madhu, GM sales @ Pratham. Turns out it was indeed a story that the sales man (one Mr. Parthivan) made up. Apparently the car that was committed to me by the sales guy was meant for somebody else and this guy committed it to me as well either deliberately or ignorantly.

Madhu owned up the mistake and apologized. He has assured me that he will be personally monitoring my case and have delivery arranged at the earliest. And he promised to make it up for the bungle!!
