Hello All,

On 6th October 2023, I had my Skoda Slavia Ambition Plus delivered by PPS Motors, Mysore Road.

The SA shared the registration fee paid receipt and all the required documents along with the number plate.

However, when I search on Vahan portal, I am unable to see the vehicle number.

I searched with the registration receipt details and I could find the transaction is successful.

When I checked with the SA, he said, there's an issue with the document upload and they're doing it again and still no update yet.

Is it normal to have a delay in getting the registration number displayed in Vahan ?

We recently bought a new car and the Registration Details were visible on Vahan the very next day of RTO Registration.

Not sure how a transaction which was successful is not registered yet on the Vahan portal.

It usually takes 3-4 weeks to update. We purchased our Jupiter on the 13th of October, and the details were updated 2 days ago. Not sure why its taking slightly longer in your case.

Looks like there are delays in KA RTOs.
My recent car purchased in September and registered at Mangalore (KA19) took nearly 4 weeks to be updated on the VAHAN site. So, no need to worry, yet.

There is a delay happening even with used vehicle ownership transfers.

Took almost 2 months in my case recently. This is with KA 05 RTO.

In the first message in addition to the receipt id, there should be one more number which I think is the main application number. If you search with that , it should show a list of steps completed for the application. The tax paid is one, there is one final step saying 'Approved' (or 'Completed'). Is that showing up for you?

For my new bike, the tax paid message came on a Monday and the final 'approved' message came on Thursday and I was able to to download the RC from Digilocker immediately. This was KA03 RTO

Seems to be an issue with KA RTOs. Cousin got a car in Hubli on Dussehra, but the details were visible online after a delay of 2 weeks.

No issue with MH RTOs, because we had another car in the family delivered in Kolhapur on 1st November, and details were available the next day itself.

Finally, it got updated today after repeated followups.
Also, dealership accepted that its a mistake from their side and got it fixed.
