Navnit Motors exits BMW business in Bangalore; BMW Kun Exclusive takes over

I just got this email from BMW India:

BMW Group India appoints KUN Exclusive as its Dealer Partner in Bengaluru

Dear Customer,

I'm sure all customers who bought their cars from Navnit Bangalore would have received this. Does anyone have more information on this?

Yes indeed this is true. I was in that neighbourhood 2 hours ago and the Navnit Sign Board is now being changed to Kun. I had gone to meet one of the people I knew at the dealership today so as to enquire about ordering some spare parts for my Cooper. He told me that w.e.f this morning Kun has taken over and they are the new bosses. From Monday onwards it is a new Dealer.
Strangely there were no cars at all there, either on display or in the service area.

Were the staff the same? The email says so, but in these cases, generally the staff is replaced with people from the company taking over. We as customers would have built a relationship with the sales and service people, not much in my case since I'm a new owner. But several customers are long term owners and would feel the change much more.

There is no reason I could find anywhere on the Net apart from the short statement by Navnit saying "this is part of our strategy to explore new engines of growth" which is typical corporate double speak and could mean anything. Even their LinkedIn page has no statement on this.

Messaged my SA on this and he says that the service team (technical and other) will be retained. Not sure of the management though.

Re: Navnit Motors exits BMW business in Bangalore; BMW Kun Exclusive takes over

I started my relationship with Navneet way back in 2000/2001 from the day they started their workshop in a small shed in Garavebhavi palya. My first contact was Gopinath who is still with Navneet bangalore. Since than I changed 7 Beamers though surprisingly none of them were bought from Navneet Bangalore, but all of them were/are being serviced from them.

When Navneet was the only dealer for Karnataka for BMW they were very arrogant and aggressive. There was no scope for any price negotiations. Its either take it or leave it attitude. I found it wise to buy from Bombay Navneet or Infinity motors and ship the vehicle to Bangalore under TR and get it registered KA. It used be considerably cheaper till recently as there was no territory conditions. SIX out of SEVEN cars are from Bombay. This is only one side of the storey regarding sales.

Their service side, its superb. Even though I moved to Wayanad, Kerala, I used to drive all the way to Bangalore, stay in a hotel and get the car serviced at Navneet Bangalore. Wonderful boys and great customer service. The team will not change any parts unless it is absolutely required, even though the dashboard notification says so ( time wise ). I do not hesitate to name some of the names like Md Ahsan, Raqeeb , Ramesh, Sriram (moved out)
the list is long though. I sincerely hope the team would continue, which is not likely. I will be really missing them. Wishing them all the best.

KUN shall have to continue the legacy of Navneet as there is a competitor for them in Bangalore and one more in Mangalore.

Wishing them Good luck.

I was wondering why they haven't announced it yet! The news was doing the rounds from months now! Anyway, the customer service from Deutsche Motoren seems to be in a different league when compared to Navnit! Kun might just change things for the good!

Re: Navnit Motors exits BMW business in Bangalore; BMW Kun Exclusive takes over

My initial interaction with Navneet was centered around booking a 2023 BMW X1 in Storm Bay color with beige interior. I inquired at Deutsche Motoren, where they candidly informed me that the desired color wasn't feasible. They did, however, provide a quote for other color options. Meanwhile, Navneet assured me of a delivery by July and accepted the payment. Although their quote was higher than Deutsche's, I proceeded with Navneet. I also informed Deutsche about my booking.

However, by the first week of August, I hadn't received any updates from Navneet. During this period, I conducted some research and contemplated upgrading to the 3GL model. I reached out to Navneet for a demonstration of the petrol variant and a quote, but they were unable to fulfill my request. Moreover, the quote they eventually provided was steep. On the contrary, Deutsche, even though I hadn't booked with them, regularly contacted me regarding available color options and my interest.

Given the disappointing responses from Navneet, I decided to approach Deutsche for a quote and a demo of the 3GL. They promptly arranged both within a week. After test driving both the X1 and the 3GL, I requested quotes from both Navneet and Deutsche. As anticipated, Navneet's quote for the 330Li was INR 73 lakhs, while Deutsche offered a quote of INR 71.10 lakhs, along with a third-year warranty, without any need for negotiation.

In conclusion, my experience with Navneet was far from satisfactory in terms of the purchasing process. They consistently presented higher prices and failed to deliver a positive buying experience. I hope this feedback reaches the relevant team at Navneet.

Congratulations on your 1st post! Yeah, I had a similar experience while getting work done on my X1. Deutsche is far better than Navnit. Let's hope KUN takes it one step further in the right direction as E-city is much closer to my house than Whitefield!
