Nearest service station - KHT motors, Whitefield. Note that they are not very good at servicing cars. I don't recommend them due to the quality of work and service meted out there. If you just want the closest service station, you can go ahead. Map attached below with directions from Manipal hospital
http://maps.google.co.in/maps?saddr=...sz=14&t=m&z=14

Best service station in Bangalore - Vecto Motors, Hosur road. This one has the most positive service experience and reviews from Fiat owners for Bangalore city. They have even split up and gone independent now (Fiat only), losing their Tata connection. It will be slightly far for you, but I would still recommend it thanks to their no-nonsense approach to servicing. Route map with directions to Vecto motors from your place :
http://maps.google.co.in/maps?saddr=...ra=ls&t=m&z=13

For Vecto, you can book a slot for your car's service by calling this number - 9845500033.

Karthik: are these the only 2 Fiat service centres? I need to get the Punto serviced and noticed that Vecto is the only listed service centre in the Fiat website. How has your experience been with the new service centres (if at all)?

thanks!

Re: Best service for Fiat at Bangalore

Hi FIAT lovers,
I am planning to give my Fiat Linea (Diesel 1.3 Emotion pack) for FREE 3rd Service at Bangalore due in Dec 2013.
Earlier my car was serviced at Noida and I am new to Bangalore Fiat service centers.

I visited Aadya motors (which is near to my work place & home, Manyta Business Park) for normal checkup before going on long drive to Hyderabad. This place is convenient for me to go for servicing or minor problems.

I do not want to go to service station based on my comfort. I would like to go to best possible FIAT service centre to get FREE service and few long pending issues to get resolved.

After going through the various threads on Fiat service in Bangalore, here are the 3 I have shortlisted (pls add more if needed).

1) Aadya Motors, near Manyata business tech park (reason: near to my place, no idea on their service except one visit & did not find any posts on this except new one being opened on North Bangalore)

2) Vecto Motors, Hosur road (Reason: By reading reviews in various threads)

3) Green Tracks, near silk board

Please suggest which one is better to go for 3rd free service + who has better spares.

Thanks in advance,
Kumara (KK)

Kumar, got my Punto serviced yesterday at Vecto Motors. It was the 3rd service and 30,000 Kms service. No fuss. Prior appointment, dropped the car at 9:30 am and they had it ready by 3pm. Good job,car felt really nice once received. Good cleaning job as well. My car had no complaints but just the regular service job. Oil was changed and all coolants topped up with the regular filter changes. ₹5300/- Ask for Dayanand. He has done a good job. Refreshing change at Fiat.Have not tried the others. My previous service was done at TATA-FIAT Concorde Motors. I am glad Fiat has parted ways.

I don't think, Green Tracks exists these days. Think, its Concorde now.
Even when it was in operation, was not the best. Though was better than handing over your Fiat to any of those barbaric Tata A.S.Cs, those days.

Re: Best service for Fiat at Bangalore

Thanks Jeeva and Arjun Reddy. Due to my contact from Fiat had suggested to go to Aadya Motors (nearby factor). I drove to Aadya in the morning at 9:15 am with prior appointment and they have noted issues. Major issue is, "Airbag Failure Alarm", rest all normal service. I will provide update as I am leaving now to collect my Vehicle.

General feeling after I had talks with service guys in the morning.. the charges looks to me higher here. Normal 3rd free service oil / filter changes quoted Rs 8000 + taxes. Whether the oil / filter price vary from each FIAT service center? I guess not ... I should have waited to check responses on team-bhp. Will post you my experience tomorrow.

Re: Best service for Fiat at Bangalore

Hi,

You may want to check out Hariprasad Automobiles in Chamrajpet. The person, who runs the place, is very knowledgeable on FIAT cars and does a good job. I had my car serviced from there in April and was very pleased with what they did.

That place was an authorized service centre, before the FIAT-Tata venture. After they have gone separate ways, he'd mentioned (in Apr-2013) that there's good chance his Service centre maybe authorized by FIAT too. Don't know if that has translated to reality as of now. You may want to check on that aspect alone.

Good luck !

Hariprasad is good for older models (Palio, Petra etc) and they are not FASC.

In the current lot of FASCs, Vecto seems to be doing a good job!

Re: Best service for Fiat at Bangalore

I have been taking my car to Vecto Motors , Hosur road just because it is conveniently located.
Recently I took my wife's car for body repair, to correct the lack of driving sense of an yellow board maruti omni who did not have enough money to spend on brake pads, but had enough to invest in a bull bar. (Picture attached).
the service advisor asked me to replace the panel , Parts + Painting + Labor estimate was ( Parts : 5150 , Painting : 4560 , Labor : 1700 , Total 11,410 ) . immediately sensing a rip off , I went to Carz , an multibrand showroom on Bannerghatta road , who said that there was no need to replace anything and it could be repaired ( Painting : 3500 , Labor : 1000 ) .

The same SA tried to pull another fast one , by asking me to replace the front bumper grill as a small piece had chipped off ( btw: that's when I realized that i was being taken for a big ride).

My experience with vecto motors has not been very good either , Premature battery replacement (2Yrs), Clutch replacement (30K KMS), Steering joints (30K KMS), Brake pads (Every 15K) , I guess this is primarily because my wife uses the car and gives it for service and it is easy for them to scare her to believing that the car will stall in the middle of the road.

finally gave the car to KHT in whitefield , was not very confident to give it to CARZ on BG road , as the full service was also pending for the car and some of the questions from the SA there made me doubt their experience with fiat vehicles "which engine oil do you use , synthetic , semi synthetic or conventional"

The advisor at KHT initially said he could get the hatch repaired , but later after insurance assessment suggested that i should go for replacement rather and repair as the quality of repair would not give a good result.

Afterthought's
The Vecto SA's assessment on suggesting replacement of the hatch was not entirely mistaken.
the en-lighted me now is also thinking that the driving style may have a significant impact on the premature replacement that i was worried about.

Re: Best service for Fiat at Bangalore

Gave my 2011-make Linea-TJet over to Hosur road Vecto on Friday.
Take a look at the issue report about the kind of parts they're changing when I went there with noise from the front-underbody.

Best service for Fiat at Bangalore-img_0685.jpg

I don't understand why they're using two quantities of the LS suspension pad: http://www.99rpm.com/fiat/front-susp...nto-linea.html

They installed the with-GC struts!
http://www.99rpm.com/fiat/front-susp...a-1-4fire.html

I had asked the SA yesterday to give me the part numbers precisely so I can look up 99rpm to avoid any goof ups (he was adamant (on Friday) that mine was a 1.4FIRE and not Tjet when fetching the right part numbers that are TJet specific).

Didn't think they had dropped low so much. I've got an upcoming 4th service lined up in a couple of thousand kilometres!

Re: Best service for Fiat at Bangalore

UPDATE:

I called up the CRM head and explained my concerns. I'm happy with the end results:
- they've clarified and updated the suspension pads (LS vs. RS)
- the suspensions have been changed to a non-GC version: originals RH = 51805318, LH = 51805319, current replacements RH = 59116049, LH = 59116050 (as per their "master replacement list", the original part numbers are superseded by the replacements :shrug)

The SA owned up that he should've checked the parts correctly according to the make-date and not the sale-date (the old struts even had the part numbers on them.)

All is fine, but I can see how a not-so-careful customer may not even notice the glaring disparities.

Re: Best service for Fiat at Bangalore

I ordered pair of headlights from 99rpm.com for my Palio 1.2, for the fitment, I went to Vecto motors, They have done a super lousy job on it. The reflectors have been badly handeled and mismatch in wiring. Double turn on headlight switch turns on high beam, to get low beam, I have to press the stalk downwards (Exact opposite to have gotten high beam). Mine was a paid service, I have been charged replacement fee of Rs 415 per headlight.

Even the washing is horrible. Their automatic washer is broken down and they have hired two young boys to do the washing of cars. Observed that only water was liberally 'sprayed' on the vehicle.

Will never go there again.

This time will try Hariprasad instead.

Re: Best service for Fiat at Bangalore

Guys, I want to give my car for running repair service.Until now, I have serviced my car at Vecto Fiat and I have had issues post service (http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...ide-vents.html). I wanted to stick with this service center as I have had good rapport with Service Executives and Personnel.

Last week, my friend called and told about his good service experience at Aadya Fiat. He used to get his car serviced at Vecto and he also had similar bad experiences there.

I am due to a long drive this weekend and I want to drop my car for running repairs. I am confused between Aadya (I have heard some good things about Mr. Mahsud Khan of Aadya) & Vecto. It would be great if I could get your advice on your experiences with the above mentioned service centers.

Car has run 20K in 2 years and below are the list of problems that needs to be addressed.

1. Rubbing sound at the last right rotation of the steering. If the car is in motion, the sound increases accompanied with steering vibrations (Strut pads are the culprit here).
2. Car vibes a lot if AC is ON in idling state (Not sure if it is normal).
3. Vacuum Pump leak.
4. Tight clutch.
5. Hump formation on steering wheel housing.
6. Foul smell from AC after using it for 30 mins and from then, it repeats for every 15 mins and stays for 15 seconds or so.
7. Blue and Me volume rocker nob is erratic.
8. Car pulls right.
9. Wiper blades and windshield needs replacement.
10. Suspecting a lowered ground clearance (Car is touching my cellar hump, it never did in the past).

I will await for your suggestions, thanks in advance.

-Sai
