Auto Hangar Advantage has inaugurated its first luxury pre-owned car showroom in Mumbai. The showroom is located at Saki Vihar Road, Chandivali in Andheri East. It is spread over 30,000 sq. ft. and houses brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Jaguar and Land Rover.



Auto Hangar offers Advantage Assurance warranty on all luxury cars. The cars go through an extensive checklist before being put on sale. Car owners can also sell their luxury cars at the Advantage showroom.



According to the company, the pre-owned car market in India has grown ten-fold in the last 10 years. Organized retail now accounts for 30% of the market. The pre-owned luxury car segment is expected to grow at a much faster rate.

They should have removed the Linkway Honda showroom signages before this launch! I saw these balloons and new stickers of Advantage Assurance, but couldn't make out what exactly is launched (or if anything at all has been launched) in lieu of Linkway Honda as the Honda signage still stayed. This glitch shouldn't have happened specially for a premium car showroom

Aha, so this is why they let go of Honda - related thread (Linkway Honda @ Andheri (Mumbai) shutting down).

Can't blame them - the margins on 1 used luxury car can be equivalent to 15 new Hondas. Plus Auto Hangar knows pretty much everything there is to know about the luxury car market in Bombay, having been the premier Mercedes dealer since almost 2 decades.

Am a bit surprised Mercedes let them use the same name as "Auto Hangar" is primarily associated with their Mercedes showroom.

For pre-worshipped fans like me, the more the organised outlets, the better .

Organized retail now accounts for 30% of the market.

I'm not buying that. Would be 10 - 15% at best across India.

To their credit, the original press release didn't even have pictures. I requested them for a set and it was promptly sent. My guess is the pics were quickly shot in response to my email.

I think the pre-owned business is only called "Advantage" as we see in the stickers, with a side line "Powered by Autohangar"
