Prologue:
I bought my first car - Chevrolet Beat P LT in the year 2011 from Kropex Chevrolet, Singsandra, Bangalore.
The last 3 years of ownership has been hassle free. However, each time I went in for a scheduled service, my experience levels have gone down with Kropex, Singsandra.
The last service was so pathetic that I had to meet the GM of Service, Kropex, Bangalore to sort out issues.
Kropex Singsandra is too much overloaded with incoming vehicles. The lack of space and service bays adds much to the confusion and chaos. Plus the monopoly of being the biggest Chevrolet dealer adds to their attitude. I was said that I would get my car after 2 days of giving them for a scheduled 20k service !! Beat that !! So all in all, I was tired of Kropex, Singsandra.
To cut the long story short, I was contemplating on visiting another competitor dealership service to check out the levels of customer satisfaction for my 25k scheduled service.
Suddenly I got a call from Kropex asking me to bring in my vehicle for a free service camp on Friday (13th Dec 2013) at the new Kropex Service at Marathahalli.
I was super excited and went to visit them at the time allotted for me.
The service center is located near the railway crossing, near ISRO U-Turn. After crossing the railway line, we generally take left to go towards Whitefield. Instead, take right, after the railway line and the Kropex Service Center is bang in front.
Some info that I gathered from the service advisor:
- This Service Center was inagurated in September.
- The max number of vehicles per SA is set at 4 per day. This helps in each SA giving personal attention to each customer and vehicle.
- The service camp handled only 20 vehicles per day. (It was organized on 12th and 13th Dec 2013).
Some observations about the service center, from my visit today:
- The place looks highly spacious. Huge parking space.
- 8 Service Bays + another 10 or more bays extra for other miscellaneous work.
- Good equipments. Saw Madhus car lift mechanism (I don't know the term).
- 1 Underbody washing bay. Too bad.
- Tiny Customer Lounge.
- Glass Window in Customer Lounge to be able to see the service bay.
Job Done and Feedback:
Since it was a free service camp, I could have utilized the opportunity to seek advice for the issues that I have been facing. Also, minor things like brake adjustment, clutch and gear adjustment could have been done. However due to lack of time and since I was getting late for the office, I opted only for the washing, waxing and AC filter cleaning.
Overall Experience: Better.
Quality of Work: Good.
