Re: Best Tata Motors dealer in Bangalore?

I got my Zest transferred to Bangalore in 2017 from Uttarakhand and I have got it serviced at KHT since. I found them from Google reviews and they have turned out to be quite decent (total 3 times) with a few minor issues which I can call pretty common. They do tend to overcharge you - I have paid close Rs.10k everytime which I think is a bit too much for a Petrol car, so you need to be careful what are they putting in the receipt.

A couple of incidents that happened were:

1. Car battery died after getting it got serviced in 2019, which worked well before the service. I am still a newbie in knowing the correct ages of batteries. But giving them a benefit of doubt I got it changed given it was a 4 year old car then - barely used @ 30K KMS but still 4 year old out of which it stood in a garage for about a year.

2. The in cabin light did not switch off while driving because it diagnosed one of the doors was open. It took me another visit to the service centre to understand one of the dampers under the bonnet was not fitted properly.

I have got a fair experience of working around Tata service centres though. I have had a Tata car in family since 2004 and I started taking care of them since 2014. In case of doubt, I always resort to calling the service centre manager or above. You can find their numbers written at multiple spots around the workshop. They have always been nice enough to listen to me in times of conflicts.

Service experience at KHT has been a lot better than my previous area of residence - Haridwar and Dehradun. The service executives are good and they have resolved my issues pretty much everytime. I would totally recommend this place.

I have moved to Richmond Town now, and I am looking to get my car serviced. I am still not sure whether to go for a Tata service or any other. Could anyone please recommend if they know about any good Tata/Non-Tata service centres around this place?

Re: Best Tata Motors dealer in Bangalore?

Giving this thread another fresh breath of life.

I'm seriously considering the Tata Nexon but one of the biggest gripe I have is the amount of niggles reported on every single ownership thread.

Any reliable ASS in Bangalore? Who'd listen to the problems and treat customers professionally?

Re: Best Tata Motors dealer in Bangalore?

Just noticed that TATA motors opened up a slew of dealerships (70 new outlets) on 02 September. 4 in Bangalore alone.

Is KHT Motors still good or have you considered another workshop that does a better job?
Why I ask is because my nephew, who's a noob in all things automobile has to get a fair bit of work done on Manza, including a timing chain replacement and a possible clutch overhaul. If there a trustworthy SA+ mechanic combo at KHT that you'd recommend?
As you said, they have a tendency to overcharge for non essential works, but does their workmanship and quality of service hold up? Is there another A$$ that he ought to consider?

Bangalore BHPians with knowledge / experience of competent Tata workshops may please chip in with inputs.

Cheers !

Key Motors in Bikasipura is also very good TASS. The SA Ramesh Pai is one of the better ones out there and I have good experience with him and the service at key motors overall. Appointment is a must before you drop in.

Muchas Gracias Sagar for the heads up ! Other that the SA that you've mentioned, is there a competent mechanic there that one ought to watch out for? The car is in fine working condition but needs a spot of preventive maintenance now that it's in its 11th year and on to 1.2L kms to address small issues that I noticed and flagged to my nephew on a recent drive.

Cheers !

Well, I do not know about any competent mechanic within the key motors. But they do a good job in resolving the issues pointed out. Keep the list of problems that you need to be addressed ready and ensure that all of them are entered into the job card.

One suggestion. Go in the middle of the week, say Wednesday and void last week of a month when they have too much vehicle load.

Yes, besides Mr Chezian (GM, Service) who cares for me and my ride, Mr Prashanth Shetty is a competent SA. (This is at their location behind Metro Cash And Carry, Kanakapura)

Re: Best Tata Motors dealer in Bangalore?

I am in Bommanahalli, and confused between Tiago AMT and Celerio AGS. More inclined towards Tiago for its looks and interiors. Only turning point will be the after sales and service. Looking for suggestions. Whats a good service center around for Tata (Bannerghatta Road, BTM or Hosur Road)

How about Key Motors on Bannerghatta Road?

Anyone knows how is Key Motors Rajarajeshwari Nagar Mysore road? Considering Tiago EV and this is the first time I will be interacting with Tata motors dealers/service.

Re: Best Tata Motors dealer in Bangalore?

Per below link, Tata dealerships are doing well nowadays, about 99% of them are profitable.

https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/india...ml#post5564984 (Tata Motors dealerships turn profitable after a decade)

Hopefully, that translates to even better sales and service experience nationwide.
