Nope. I got it from lenovo website itself. 4/64.

It's just outside what you budgeted, but it's worth it to spend that extra.

Me looking for a tab for my daughters zoom calls. It will be used for her online zoom classes and browsing only hence don’t want to spend more than 10 K. We have been using an Amazon fire tab which my sister brought from US. The tab screen has cracked and May give up soon.

Right now I see budget tabs only in Lenovo. Request esteemed team members advice.

Unfortunately this is not available anymore (says out of stock). Same model on Amazon it is priced at 20k which is out of my range.

I don't see the 10" models on the website also. Is that stopped?

Hi Folks

Reviving this thread with a request

I would like to buy a tablet preferably 8inch size. The primary use of this would be to read books. Now the question you will ask is why not the Kindle and Nook. I am looking to read books with a lot of color pictures, maybe comics as well. For this, I need something that can render colors and not the ink readers

I had an iPad mini which missus grabbed a couple of years back and I don't want to spend a lot on another iPad.

The tablet should be able to provide a good battery backup, at least 3 to 4 days. I will not be using it for anything else such as wifi browsing, Bluetooth services, or call services. It would probably be a dumb device and all file transfers will happen visa USB

Would be great if you can suggest devices with good battery backup and economical (sub 15k). Thanks in advance

Consider a refurbished iPad (and battery replaced if needed). This should work for 3 - 4 years easily and should provide this kind of battery backup with all radios turned off.

You should consider the Lenovo Yoga tab Link the kickstand is handy, and the design on one side enables a good grip whilst reading.
It has all the regular specs like other tab, just that this design is more useful to your needs.

Hello team,

Planning to buy a tab and narrowed on Samsung Galaxy A7:

Anyone who has got the same or can share the reviews?

Any other alternative in the same configuration?

Thanks.

Just wondering...

I have a Lenovo 8-inch "2nd-generation Full-HD" tablet. Granted, it was a lot cheaper, but I am disappointed with it compared to my wife's similar, older, 8-inch Lenovo. Poorer build, no USB-C, etc.

My usage is not very intensive or power demanding, beginning with general internet when lounging on the sofa or away from home, but the main thing is reviewing photographs from my camera on the bigger screen, soon after taking them. Somehow, I don't find the Lenovo display good enough.

What would be my recommended choices for a 8-inch or 10-inch Android tablet with a better display? Price is not consideration yet. First, what do I need... then comes, can I afford it!

Yes, it has to be Android. I will not buy Apple or Microsoft, even if they do have some advantages.

To all the folks who use tablet (Android), what are the main usage for the same? Am considering buying one but not very sure if it is a worthy purchase. I own a Pixel 2 XL mobile phone and a Lenovo Laptop (which is bulky). I find the screen on Pixel 2 XL too small to watch videos (YouTube / Prime / Netflix etc.) and either use Lenovo or my official Dell Latitude laptop. Also, for reading articles I find the Pixel 2XL to be ok but not the best fit (maybe because I have recently gotten reading glasses). So was thinking of buying a tablet for media consumption like read articles, video, eBooks (understand that we can use tablet like a Kindle and read books on it). Was wondering what all else could it be used for in every day life and hence the question. Do not work in the creative field so not much use of the S-Pen (from sketching / drawing perspective).

Based on my limited research on tablets, in the Android world Samsung Tab S7+ is the one with the best display (super AMOLED, 120 Hz) but size is bigger than what you want, it is 12.4 inches I think. It is currently available for INR 49,999 /- in the on-going Republic Day Sale on Samsung (corporate sale).

S

I am in the market to buy two tablets, both for online classes. I am looking for options around 10 inches size and saw Lenovo M10 plus (2nd Gen) and K10. Both are priced at 12999 (+ 10% discount in Lenovo site). Specs of K10 appears to be better and it also has Android 11 whereas M10 is having 9.

But saw couple of reviews in Amazon saying MS Teams is having issues in K10. One mentioned that it was proximity sensor turning the screen off.

Anyone using K10 can comment on this? If this was a software issue on either Lenovo or MS, I am guessing it to be fixed by now.

Also, any other options that I can consider for purely online classes?
Should be:
1. Android,
2. Display around 10 inches.
3. Google Meet, MS Teams, should work seamlessly.

Avoid Lenovo, consider Samsung A7 instead. Or maybe try to find K10's equivalent in Motorola for better software experience.

Had the same requirements as yours & have bought the Realme Pad - 4gb/64gb with wifi+LTE in last week's sale on Flipkart.

Costed Rs. 15749. Feels premium, but Realme has announced that they not be providing Android 12 update for this tab. Still, I feel it is adequate for the purpose and certainly great for its price point. Had ordered the 3GB model initially, but canceled it as I felt that extra 1GB RAM would be crucial when using the tab going forward.

Is there any decent 7/8 inch tab with decent specs? All I see are tabs with low end (not even midrange) Mediatek chipsets, 2/3 gigs RAM and low resolution screens. In this era of online classes and work, why don't they make decent tablets anymore? Why do we have to go to Apple for a decent tablet?

Because the 7-8 inch tabs are neither here nor there. Smartphones already have 7 inch screens and come with far better specs which are available within the price range of 15-20K.

If anyone is ready to spend bit more price and wants bigger screen real estate with more capabilities then laptops are better choice. There are still many softwares and apps which can't be run in the tabs or smartphones so it makes no point spending more on the tab just for the screen size. Tablets have become more irrelevant in the age of detachable laptops which are capable of running wide range of softwares and apps.

How is the Xiaomi Pad 5? Considering the same for my Dad for work purposes. Mostly will be used for reading drafts & editing them.
