Team-BHP - Notion Ink Adam

Has any one pre-ordered the Notion Ink Adam tablet? I have ordered a Pixel Qi 3G version and am eagerly waiting to get my hands on it. It has the best specs that I have ever seen in a tablet. The custom Eden UI is awesome too.

Do let me know when you receive your device, I've been following up on it and will look at a few before I put down my money, but from what I've seen it is pretty awesome and almost like the iPad. Couple of downers are no android market and not too many apps as of today. But that will change in the future.
I am definitely going for it if it even 50% lives up to all the hype..Do PM me when you receive yours.

I ordered one too . By the time I started my order process the Pixel Qi was already sold out , so I bought the noraml LCD 3G WiFi edition . Waiting eagerly for mine to arrive . Costed 23766 including shipping .

I was planning on ordering the Pixel Qi one. I will later. I hope it really comes up great. I dont understand what they are secretive about. They should have shipped it for someone test it since they are already selling it.

There is no buy option on the web site but it does read out of stock on the home page itself. Guess it is back to the demo of Samsung galaxy tab this weekend. The Samsung people did actually respond to the online booking demo. Except for the camera with its variable positions both products look very similar, even the web site's option bars are alike.

Although I agree the Adam is a killer device, and probably a must have for all gizmodos, Apple with its brand name alone has class. It always has, since the 1st iPod gen era carried a certain 'if you have it, flaunt it' factor associated with its name. And you just can't go wrong with an Apple device. The iPad was revolutionary and the iPad 2 will surely be a worthy successor.

Is this NotionInk Device based on Android? If its a proprietary OS owned by a small company then I will stay away.
But yeah, looks good.

Hey just checked. The contact address has India office address. Indians came up with this??? Super cool.

Notion Ink was founded in May 2009 by Rohan Shravan, an engineering graduate from IIT-KGP with the express purpose of creating the Adam tablet, an Android powered Tablet PC in partnership with nVidia and Pixel Qi.

Didn't preorder one. But I have been following their blog on wordpress.
Awesome device. Did anyone see the daily videos that they have been putting up? The OS is just super. And yes it is based on android with a custom UI on top of it called eden.
And it is an Indian startup based out of Banglore led by Rohan Shravan.
Don't know about iPad 2 but the current iPad has got nothing on it!!

P.S. When I have enough money to spend and not care about, I will surely start buying Apple products! lol. till then, has to be the Eco+ choice or the most practical one!

Have never bought any of the overhyped apple stuff - linux on my laptops, android on my phones and if some good android tablets come out, i will jump on them as well.
Right now Adam looks like a great option.
Hope ordering in India is cheaper than ordering outside India (read no custom duties!!)

Edit - no android market? why!! how does one get the kindle app then which is essential for it to be a good ebook reader?
