Good news for Mac users. Samsung has released Kies Mini for Mac .

Samsung Wave S8500 - Software & Manuals - Support - Samsung Mobile India

I don't have access to my Mac machine right now, so can't comment how it is.

EDIT: This is not listed on support page for Galaxy S. But someone can still try and see if it works for Galaxy S.

Moto Quench XT3 available for 12,500 (Vector Tel, koramangala, Blore).

Looks like an OK hardware to start with Android. Comes preloaded with 2.1. but box lacks data cable & memory card.

Stay away from Quench. IIRC It has a smaller battery too. Go for LG Optimus one p500 or Samsung Galaxy 3. These are cheaper than Quench.

One cannot comment on actual battery life based just on rated battery capacity! That said, reviews seem to suggest that the battery life is quite decent, for an Android phone, that is. Some people here have bought the Quench, and would appreciate if they can comment on battery life after few days usage.

Further, Optimus One is NOT cheaper than than Quench! Galaxy 3 is just slightly cheaper, but its hardware specs are also poorer.

As for the Quench, they have bundled Jacket and movie tickets, but left out memory card and data cable! So if you need that, the price of that would need to be factored into the cost.

NICE.... mine is white too!

Too bad wifi isn't working. Is your handset a X10i or X10a? What ROM did you flash it with? Wifi issue has something to do with the choice of ROM running on the handset.

The 1st released World 2.1 ROM at XDA was for X10i but now X10a Generic World ROM is available too. Search for the correct ROM and reflash it again. Good Luck!

Congrats Kratos. even mine is white. I can believe they are still selling Android 1.6!

Even i have updated to Android 2.1 from the same link Ace provided & Wi-Fi is working fine on my phone. Infact, just today i went to a nearby hospital which has Wi-Fi connectivity to check whether everything is working fine! It is & so i am getting a Wi-Fi connection at my place!
