Seems it is due to some new update, the battery performance is getting reduced hence they are offering this battery replacement.

Yes, infact I'm banking on the OP Nord 4 given its value proposition.

Haha, like I said just checked a few YT videos from the prominent youtubers and came up with this list.

Considering the usage scenario, I would recommend the Moto Edge 50 Pro, I have personal experience with all three and nothing comes close to the in-hand feel and quality that the Edge 50 Pro has with the eco-leather back. The top-of-the-line Edge 50 Pro was available at a good discount during the BBD sale and I expect similar discounts in the upcoming sale as well.

If not the Moto, both the Realme and OnePlus are still great offerings with the OnePlus having a slight edge in my books due to the full metal body and better promise of updates.
Thanks, will consider the Edge 50 Pro too.

Aside, how's the Samsung A35. I just happened to come across this phone falling in the required price bracket. Is it inferior to the Nord 4 or the Moto?

The release mentions that the software will be pushed to the devices starting Jan 8th and the users need to apply for this replacement by 8th Jan itself? How it that possible?

Got an email notification about it, and the phone just pulled the update (currently installing).

No changelog so not sure what exactly is 'being fixed', but I ain't complaining.

Good to see that the One Plus 13 sticks to the price of it's predecessor. Guess One Plus has found it's sweet spot in pricing. Not many incremental updates over the 12; hope the prices of the 12 slide down more in coming months, as it remains a fantastic offering in this segment.

I'd like to share a brief review of my daily used "old" phone, the OnePlus 5T.

I still use the 5T as my daily driver, which I bought in 2017, 7 years and counting.
I can also vouch for OnePlus's longevity. I'm using a OP 6 from 2018, and still going strong.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Earlier I took my sister's iPhone 11 pro, but gave it back due to the software limitations and switched to a used galaxy s10e last year. Got its battery replaced and flashed android 14. Couldn't be more happier. The compact size, headphone jack, sd card slot, small camera bump and clean android on top. I wish there were more compact phones with sd slot and audio jack support.

I have been experiencing the same on my 4A. It works perfectly fine but the battery life was dropping very rapidly, especially in the last 6 months. Good news is Google has just announced a battery recall for Pixel 4a models. They have asked us to walk in to any service centre and get it replaced for free.

Couldn't agree with this more. I was using a OnePlus 5T from 24-Nov-2017 (bought off Amazon for around Rs 33k) and have largely the same usage parameters as you. the 5T has been the most reliable piece of tech I've used to date. Never once visited a service center and it has been 100% reliable 100% of the time. I moved to an S24 Ultra in December 2024 only because as I had a trip to Sri Lanka coming up and wanted to take some nicer photos. But the S24U will have some very large shoes to fill for me. The 5T was solid gold.
