Yep, G6 was my first choice too. But S7 has stellar reviews for Camera and long battery power which is my top two requirements. I'm also a sucker for Selfies but looks like both these are mediocre in that department.

I think I will be going with G6 as the S7 Edge's display looks very fragile and I don't like babying any object.

The S7 Edge sold in India has a different CPU than the one available in some international markets. For example in US it is with Snapdragon and that does have some disadvantages. So, do note this as well.

I got my wife a pre-owned (but as good as new) S7 edge in April. She is happy with the phone (it does need to be handled with care!)

The low-light performance of camera is disappointing (to me). Not tried too many outdoor shots, but in general the camera is good (and extremely fast).

No clues about G6.

Got the Moto G5 plus for my sister after she smashed the display of her J7 Prime by dropping it on the floor. Turns out the phone was still working. So she got a Micromax for a cheap price and is waiting for this screen to be replaced. End result, I ended up with the Moto.

Initial impressions seem good. The fingerprint sensor works well and so does the gestures to replace the virtual buttons. There is provision to use multiple fingers for authentication. Battery life is impressive but I am yet to make it my main mobile (use the SIM) so will have to wait and watch.

The size of the phone is not too big for me coming from a Nexus 5. Twitter navigation seems slow but otherwise the phone's solid.

It has a good camera compared to Nexus 5 is my first impression. It has FM Radio as well (which is welcome). 4GB RAM can't hurt. 32 GB ROM won't as well. Dual app feature of Nougat seems good.

Overall, it is almost a good short term replacement for my Nexus 5 especially during travels when the N5 drops battery at an alarming rate.

Hoping for regular updates from Lenovo, not in the league of Google but once in a quarter would be a blessing.

Is everyone happy with their phones that they no longer need to purchase a new one?

I have never posted here. I'm using a 2013 Nexus 5. It's working fine and don't find any reason to upgrade other than it having a poor camera by today's standards and being stuck on Marshmallow. I got that phone for ₹ 19000 from Canada. Google has stopped sending security patches from last October, but I have a Kaspersky mobile security. I do all my financial and stock purchases using mobile.

While the thought of a new phone is always there, the kind of price the current flagships are asking is too much. And somehow I haven't come across a phone that's very appealing to my eyes. I was expecting this year some manufacturer would come out with a stunning phone. Besides to be comfortable a 5.5 inch phone should have almost no bezels or else it should be 5.2 inch. I'm someone who loves stock android and there are very few who have stock android and a good looking phone. The Moto Z2 force that was launched today looks cools, but can't stand that huge camera bump. Like wise Oneplus 5 didn't bring any change in design from previous iterations.

To summarise, there are people like me who can't find a phone to replace their current ones and feel excited about buying a new one. I hope next year would bring some great looking phones. I made a mistake buying Nexus 5 I guess lol:

Thank you very much.

I've decided on the LG G6. As it is a newer product and boasts of rugged build and other features discussed in earlier posts. Also, I think it would have been bench-marked against the S7 Edge, so should be much better than that, considering it is LG.

No-No for me! Life is too short to constantly think about a phone's well being. :)

I had downloaded close to 1,500 songs on my Wynk subscription. After I switched from Android to iOS, I had to reinstall few songs but I never wanted those 1,500 odd songs and on the top header, it mentions xxxx no of songs yet to be downloaded. And it isn't being deleted. One has to manually select songs to delete. Reinstalling the app hasn't helped. Any inputs?

No good options. What I did was create playlists among them and then remove the unwanted ones. Now, I just have a few downloaded, specially with the state of mobile internet in Metros these days.

Also, try Google Music, at 89 bucks it's really good. Has curated playlists and does a fairly good job.

Guys, I have a problem with the payment system in Google Play. I have saved my debit card details in Google store since last 2-3 years and have made many paid app purchases.
However recently when I try to buy a paid app, the payment shows an error, can't recall the message. Tried many times but still the same result.
I want to know if it is possible to delete the present card details and load the same again.

Got a big upgrade of my Samsung S8. all 320MB of it. Installed smoothly.

I have the Samsung J7 max. The positives are good camera , less washed out effect in selfies, Android 7 with updates. Got July security update and firmware update already. It has got face recognition and dedicated dual SIM slots, 4gb Ram. The only negative I have is, despite the 4GB RAM the phone hangs/lags a lot because of the mediocre mediatek processor. Otherwise its a good phone with a good camera.

Check whether the card is expired. If not give a try after an hour or two; If it persists call their customer care; you will receive a call from US and get your issues sorted out. Recently, I had such an issue, after installing many Apps in a single day, a few of them being paid apps. I was informed that since many apps were bought, either free or paid in a short span of time, the system itself put a 'stop' after some time. After it was released, I could buy that app.

Hi, can you please let me know what was the update about. The last update i got was for the wifi stability ( Pic attached ). After the last update, the battery life has gone down by a good margin, now the battery doesn't even last a day. Earlier, when i used to charge in the morning, it used to go till the night with 40% still remaining.

The card is not expired. This is an ICICI debit card linked to my salary account. I will try the option you suggested. Thanks.

This is the July security patch for the Samsung S8 and S8+. Nougat has created this problem on many phones where battery life has turned out to be pathetic, at best. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the next version "O" would address this issue.

I have the S7 edge and unfortunately I've dropped it multiple times. So far, it's held up well. The battery life has gone down though, ever since the last update.

Which camera are you comparing vs the S7 Edge, when you say that? I just find it very interesting.

I had a very similar opinion of the S6 Edge. Its low light camera was simply nowhere comparable to my iPhone 6 - heretical as some would find it :)
