I think today OnePlus One not worth it. We bought it and it's excellent but at the current discounts the nexus 5 is much more value given the excellent camera.

What kind of discounts are available? Not able to find anything online. Also I thought camera was the only sore point for Nexus 5.

Hi guys,

This is not directly related to Android, but I did'nt find any better active thread to post my query on.

I have ported my number from BSNL to DOCOMO, now I cannot recharge using Mobikwik Wallet neither Paytm. They still detect my number as BSNL. Any ideas?

Raise a ticket with mobikwik. They'll sort it out in 2-3 days. I did the same and recharge works flawlessly. BTW, referring to mobikwik

cannot consider the Moto X 2 as its not on the offered list. I have to pick from the above 3 (4) listed phones as thats what my employer has to offer.

Then don't look at anything other than M8. Its got stereo speakers. Only thing is camera is unconventional in that, though not a bad camera. It produces smaller but more detailed pics if you can learn how to use it.

So I just got the lollipop 5.0.1 update on my moto g first gen and I'm loving the update! Everything is so much more snappier and switching between apps is just so much fun. It's noticeably quicker than kitkat. Interface is easy to get acquainted with. Only problem I had was figuring out how to enable silent mode but I got it figured out.

Was it the official update? If not can you please guide us how did you install it on your phone?

When will Moto G2 get Android 5.0 update?

Did you get an OTA notification? I checked and nothing available. I too am using 1st Gen Moto G.

@ h@r$h@l: You (me included) are on US based Global SIM retail device. I don't think, Lollipop is available for us yet! :Frustrati
I guess @createrkid has Indian Moto G 1st Gen for which it's being rolled out! @createrkid please confirm.

I happened to check for software updates and lollipop popped up. Surprisingly I didn't get the 5.0, rather it jumped straight to 5.0.1.

Also, Battery life has significantly improved! Screen on time is now almost close to 5 and a half hours with 3g/wifi as opposed to 4 hours something i used to get earlier. One bug i noticed was that when you switch from camera to any other app, the screen sort of flickers(noticeable only to the keen eye).

EDIT: have the XT1033 model.

Ok. That confirms it. You have Indian Dual SIM version.
@h@r$h@l: Sitting tight with fingers crossed. Eagerly awaiting the Lollipop!

I think they are rolling it out in a phased manner - my phone is also XT1033 (Indian dual sim version, brought from Flipkart) but I am yet to get the update. Waiting with crossed fingers.

My wife's Moto G shows a software update in play store "Motorola update services". The description of that was that I needed to do that software update in order to upgrade to Lollypop. The system update didn't pop up even after updating the App. May be because it in still in the queue. Might get it in few days.

Anything .0 is likely to have bugs, incl the mighty iOS. 5.0.1 is an early bug fix. Software nomenclature goes as a.b.c. Here a is the major version, b the revision and c the bug fix / minor revision.

I saw some 22700 / 24000 level prices a couple of days back.

The wife has intermittent call quality issues at office and has been quite frustrated with the OnePlus in that one department - you need to disconnect some calls because the audio is quite bad. On reconnection it'll work okay. We'll observe it else off to the service center it is.

Among the 5 odd people I know who have it - she's the only one having this issue!
