Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Now that Moto E is in the market, my brother is in two heads between Micromax Canvas Doodle and Moto E.

He stepped into his Engg. final year and wants a handset that could go on for atleast 2 years till he settles in a job and buys his own dream phone.

Co-incidentally his nick name matches to the MMX phone

Any decision makers between the two ?

It's a simple decision IMO . moto E any day . Specification sheet will put many to shame .likes of Micro max are use & throw Phones and since your bro Need it to run for 2 years, trust Motorola.

http://www.flipkart.com/moto-e/p/itm...otoe_topBanner

Moreover not many people give attention to things like SAR value. trust Motorola to meet them . All i have seen on micro max is " phone complies with SAR value" but they never put radiations value on their manuals.

Pretty well summed up by .sushilkumar above.

Plus the MMX in comparison to the Moto E is more expensive by nearly 2k.

It's a no brainer really. And I am going to get one tonight.

Enter your number to unlist. Ask your brother to search for your number after a day or two, just to verify.

Thanks. Did that.

Yes. Killer pricing.

BTW: When I spoke to one user of Moto G, he said that he is able to receive calls on his first SIM if his second SIM is already on another call (this implies Moto G is dual SIM active), but I am still unsure if this is true.

Moto E will have the same dual SIM capabilities.

Any Moto G users using two SIM's can share their experience about the dual SIM standby/ active feature?

Meanwhile, Motorola India is currently troubleshooting network issues with Moto G. There is a major issue it seems.

Meanwhile, there's news floating around that Moto E is going to replace the Moto G, which probably means that the Moto G may be phased out soon.

This is reported incorrectly. Moto G with memory card support is coming up soon. They won't kill a product which is doing so well for them, so soon.

Great price for Moto E, though its a no brainer will consider this definitely once market has a good review.

One thing is sure the price will remain constant.

@7k with this specification its a steal, other manufacturers with budget phone better watch out.

Motorola has also announced a new version of Moto G with 4G and microSD slot. Hope this comes to India.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Finaly Bought HTC one M8 . no Cash back and no choice of colours .
Migrated from Nexus 4 , Nexus UI was more user friendly than HTC UI .
Any body else in the forum , only time will tell if i did the right thing of going with M8 when S5 was available .

I have M8 and trust me you made right choice. I had s5 on day one of launch, but it just crashed on 3rd day. Had to return it and then shifted to M8. No looking back.

Yeah great specs on the camera too. Someone in office was mentioning that this will be available in India soon. If so, I will wait in line to get it. Totally worth it.

Thanks folks for helping out on the decision making.
I am in favour of Moto E, but he is insisting on the MMX Doodle. May be the snazzy looks plus the attractive packaging is making him go crazy for the Doodle. But when I see the longer running period, MMX is nowhere close to Moto E.
Will convey this suggestion to him.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Shock pricing indeed for the Moto E! Didn't expect it to launch at sub 10k! Made a 'gifting' decision easier.

Flipkart is already teeming with reviews! Good that they provide an option to filter the reviews of certified buyers as well!
