Is there any old school contacts app that will show only phone number and email id. thats it. no..not even whatsapp.
Under accounts, you can deselect contact syn for LinkedIn. That should suffice.
You wont see LinkedIn contacts in your address book. You can do the same with Facebook too.

BHPian neoonwheels uses a Dream D1. Do read his inputs here : http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/gadget...ml#post3108807

HKS, do have look at Gionee Elife E3. It's much slimmer, has 4.7" display, 16 GB internal memory and microSD slot, android v4.2, 2MP front cam, user replaceable battery.

I use Elife E3

Is anybody using the Xperia ZR?

How is the phone's display as compared to the samsung amoleds?
Is it a worthy upgrade over my S2 (i9100)?

I just ordered it. Viewing angles is the only concern, otherwise the screen is gorgeous. Specs wise its obviously a great upgrade.

You can get a Samsung micro USB car charger for Rs 270 at flipkart.

Congratulations on the buy. Just out of curiosity, what made you select HTC Desire X over Samsung Galaxy S Advance ?

IMHO, Samsung Galaxy S Advance provides better specs at a lesser price.

Any feedback on LG Optimus L5 single sim? Guys how about the service part when it comes to a Ginoee / Xolo / Micromax? The specs & reviews of these phones look gr8 but am worried about the A.S.S. Btw this phone is for the home minister if that helps.

Anyone use the Galaxy Note II? What's your take - to buy or not to buy with the current Note 2 exchange offer for 27,500? Thinking of exchanging this with an old iPhone 3Gs.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Just ordered Lumia 720 for 15,749/- on Amazon.in site. I guess I will be moving out of Android by next week. I may come back some day. I thoroughly enjoyed the Android experience (WajkIUI on CM7), much more than the iPhone. This thread has been a great support throughout my first and only android phone (Defy) ownership since April 2011. But I don't have strong loyalty towards any technology, so I want to checkout WP8 now. Wish me luck!

Latheesh, I searched on flipkart and the least price for S3 is ~26K and S4 ~39K. Can you let me know where you saw the above prices?

BTW, S3 is ~23k on amazon.in

Two reasons -

she is finally at home with Sense so no reason to change.
Got a good deal on Desire X --14.3k nett incl shipping
htc is more rugged than sammy.
Did not want even a dual sim potential.

Good phone if you are OK with size and love the note taking capability.
In face if you start liking this size and functionality then you can not go back.
It is kind of love or hate and there is nothing in between.

About exchange offer 37500 is MRP and not the street price. I would say search e-bay offers you will get easily around 30-32 K with warrenty apply ebay discount coupen and sell your iPhone 3Gs elsewhere.

Add to cart and see the reduced price. S3 and S4 are few hundreds cheaper in flipkart.

Indian online price war has begun

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Hello all,

Got an amazing deal on the Note II and hence went for it.

Having used it for a week now, i am in love with the device. The S pen makes it all the more better.
Review so far :-

Positives :-

1) Love the screen. Its BIG and beautiful .
2) All those features make you feel awesome. The motion controls for instance are amazing. For eg. When the screen is of, wave your hand over the phone and it will show alerts such as missed calls and messages.
3) The camera does deserve a mention. It is super quick and has plenty of customization available right out of the box.
4) The S-Pen. What a thing!!. It does redefine what a stylus can do. Makes everything way more easier.

Negatives :-

1) I hate the official Samsung flip cover. It makes the phone pretty unusable at times. I need to get a back cover soon.
2) Although the battery charges up surprisingly fast from the power socket, however if you try charging it from the USB port, it takes ages !!

I was earlier using a BB Torch 9800 and an iPhone 4. This being my first android device, i had a couple of questions .

1) How do I load apps from my laptop to the phone. I don't have Wifi at the moment and hence I am trying to find an alternative to using the precious mobile bandwidth to download apps .

2) Any awesome apps that one must have ?
