Name brand PC keyboard with lighted keys ?

Friends:

I find myself increasingly on my PC late at night, while my wife is asleep. Hate to disturb her by turning on any light.

My desktop uses a black TVS Gold keyboard, and in the dark I can't see the keys at all.

Often I can touch-type perfectly, but sometimes my inertial navigation coordination goes awry and my right hand goes one-key off to the left or right. Exasperating.

So I determined to buy a keyboard with LED backlit illuminated keys.
Any suggestions?

I located on the web, a keyboard called the Logitech G110. It was released in August 2009.

It has red and blue LEDs inside each individual key mechanism.
The G110's keys are made of transparent plastic, coated silver, then coated black. The coating in the keycap are laser-etched and protectively coated. When LED light reflects up the key’s “chimney” and through the painted/etched keycap, the characters get illuminated.

Using a configuration customization program, you can mix red and blue backlighting in varying intensities to create any custom shade of purple, from pure red to pure blue.

The keyboard has integrated USB audio -- 3.5 mm headphone and mic jacks. It also has a USB 2.0 100 mA port for plugging in a flash pen drive or USB mouse. Note that 100 mA is not enough power for supporting a USB hard drive.

A magazine article even proposed a price of Rs. 3,700.

But when I contacted my connections in Lamington Road, Mumbai,
they could not trace a single piece.

Does anyone know if Logitech has launched this keyboard in India yet? Or when it will do so?

Does anyone know of a better keyboard-- ideally -- with white LED backlit illumination that is currently available in India ?

The small dents or protrusions on F & J keys are there for a reason . But for the keyboard like one you've described, I doubt that is going to stop you from buying.

I have the G15 with the LCD. It's pretty nice. Nice to use in the dark when you are watching a movie but want to do some browsing in between.

THis was not launched officially yet. But i have seen atleast in two places in NP delhi.

But i have also seen couple of chinese ones for 1100. Key were good, like rubberised ones. Only problem is that the CCFL blew early.

That is why it is better to stick to name brands.
Logitech is now one of the top brand names in keyboards and mice.

And I wasn't alluding to CCFL gas tubes. They were proper solid-state semiconductor LEDs, which typically have a very long life, do not generate discernible heat and do not consume much power.

Query: Where can I get the Dynabook Laptop Keyboard

My Toshiba Dynabook TX/67C keyboard has gone bad. The membrane in the board got spoiled and hence I need to replace it.

Anyone knows whats the compatible Satellite model for this? Or where I can source this?

A used one on e-bay costs like 2.5K and new one in US cost like 2.8K.

Similar to this.
Any link or contacts to source this would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.
