What resale price can I expect for a 3 year old Compaq Presario 2100US with the following config:

AMD Athalon 2800, 80GB HDD, 512MB RAM, CD writer, spare battery. Looks similar to the image below.

If everything is working fine, I guess you would get around 8-9k

How much resale value can I expect for my current computer?

P M 760(2GHz),
1GB RAM,
60GB 7200rpm HDD,
15in 1600x1200 LCD,
128MB ATI FireGL V3200,
CD-RW/DVD-R Multi-Burner,
Intel 802.11abg wireless, Bluetooth/Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure Chip, Fingerprint Reader, 6c Li-Ion, WinXP Pro

It's in excellent condition (nearly as new), with practically no marks on it at all. I have all the booklets, accessories that came with the laptop except the box.

I am looking at replacing the above with a sub portable laptop. How much I can get for the above will decide on what to replace it with (thinking of going with Dell M1330 vs Sony SZ vs Apple Macbook (just to be different)).

Can an expert help?

Sold mine for 9K. with Celeron M, 40 GB, 512 MB ram.

A new 14.1inch Celeron M Acer pebble laptop with DVD combo, wireless blah blah can be bought in Bangalore for 21k all inclusive with carrybag and warranty, so used laptops are dead cheap these days.

Sale was to a dealer. I know the guy we have like purchased 5 - 7 laptops from him + i have recommended most of my friends to him.

Other dealers were quoting 6 - 6.5 K max for my laptop.

@ gopz laptops in bangalore are cheaper(cost wise lol) than in punjab side. I recently purchased laptop for 31k and its priced 30K at bangalore.

My daughter has been using an Acer Travelmate 2314 for 3-4 years & it seems the AC adapter has developed a fault. Is it possible to repair laptop AC adapters? If not, how can I buy a new one for a reasonable price? Kolkata dealers are quoting 1.6K to 1.8K for a "compatible" one.

No OS

Dealers wont stock this model because they dont have margin - you must inform them in advance and they will get it for you from Acer.

Absolutely VFM and is enough for basic internet browsing/ MS Office usage

Guys,

I want to buy laptop and my requirements are..

Budget - 40-45K.
I will use it for internet,music,movies,light gaming.
I want to get 15'' screen as i dont need 17'' incher and do not want to compromise in 12''.
Weight - No problem.
Brand - Will prefer Compaq or dell.
Battery life - 2 hours max.
I would prefer to get non-widescreen or else widescreen will do.
Hdd - 160Gb min.
Ram - 2Gb.

How is Hp pavilion dv6703TX ?
Please suggest me 2-3 models so i can compare and check.

Will i will be able to check dell laptops at Croma ?
