I have no used it myself. Hence please check with others.

Sure. I will look into it. Any tally on mac users here? Does it work well? My main use of windows is related to Tally and my security software.

Harshalbhai,

You can install Windows 7 with bootcamp or can run windows with parallels after login on mac os x and run almost any application compatible with windows.

You can get it from iStore by reliance at Gulmohar Mall. They were offering 10% discount for first 25 customers on their anniversary.

Guys, has anybody got Windows 8 installed sing Bootcamp in their MBP? I was trying today but doesnt seem to work. Steps followed,
1. Updated my MBP to 10.8.3 so as to update my Bootcamp to support Windoes 8
2. Used the Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to make my USB Windows 8 bootable
3. Fired bootcamp, selected both checkboxes to download windows software update and windows 7 or later OS
4. Bootcamp hangs when downloading the Windows software. Tried unselecting it, but now it says installer disc not found. But my bootable USB is connected and working fine.

Tried all steps available in the net to no avail.

Any help?

You referring to Tally the accounting solution? No experience. But there is something called iBank which I think is one of the best there in MAC. I just say it based on reviews I have not used it.

I use gnucash and it works pretty well.

Yes. I was refering to tally for accounting. My office has a multi user tally erp. So thats one primary requirement for me.

Has anyone upgraded to 10.8.4 yet? It was released yesterday but Software Update and the App Store says there are no updates available.

Hmm, that's strange. I'm on 10.8.3 and I'm still getting a "no updates available" message. Did you go through App Store > Updates or were you prompted to update?

I went to App Store -> Updates as soon as I read announcement about 10.8.4. I didn't wait for update notification.

I updated yesterday night. It works fine and its available at all countries. These are not country specific. Do as what Gandhi said. Check for updates in App store. You should see it.

Even though I was on 10.8.3, when I did the check for update, it still shows there is a 10.8.3.
Went to the apple site, downloaded the 10.8.4 delta and I am now updated.

I've been doing that and I keep getting a "No updates available" message. Very odd.

That's what's happening to me! I just downloaded the installer too.

I picked up a Mac Book Pro few days back and trying to get a copy of MS office but not able to find anyone who has that .
So wanted to check if any one here can share a copy of the MS office for Mac with me.
Also is it really needed to have an antivirus installed on Mac ?

Guys, Look at the Apple site once again and be wowed with a slew of new products.

New OS : Mavericks
New Mac Pro desktop; Looks real futuristic.
IOS7, New Itunes Radio, new Mac Air...

Tim Cook had mentioned last year, that they had quite some of new ones coming this year.
