My first one in 1995 was Moto 7200; a real hunk. Then few months later switched over to Ericsson 337. After using that for a year shifted to Nokia and stayed with it till date. Using Nokia 9500 Communicator for the last 2 years.

Guys, have you seen this ad for the new Moto ROKR E6. I found it pretty darn amusing!

I also like this phone a lot. If only it was easier to type messages!

Guys, anyone using Nokia 6300 or Sony Ericsson W700i?

I need to replace my Nokia and my requirements are fairly simple - EXCELLENT receptivity is my key requirement & phone needs to be slim & light. I do not need oodles of music storage space, nor am I bothered about data transfer because I use my Blackberry for that.

I'm willing to go up to 12-13k. Suggestions?

If you are not into music/camera then Why consider W700? Leave it & Look @ N72/E50/ Instead .

I have used a w700i when it was just launched about a year back its a good phone and now its cheaper to and falls in your price band to but the 6300 is not good at all that what my phone guy said when i was getting my v3i DOLCE & GABBANA(gold one)

he said that rite now its overpriced and the sound isn't loud at all

for 12-13k you can get a v3i gold, n72 moto rizer

and w700i isn't slim at all its a little on the fat side

and if you don't want storage and nothing of that sort you could get a v3 its the best phone around and its for around 7500 and is slim and light

nokia 6300 because you are in India, though its got nothing exclusive to shout about. W700 if you can live with joystick problems that have been reported at a high rate. V3i is a good phone but overprice in India and also the software is crap.

IF I were to recommend among the 3, it would be w700i.

Nokia E50, been using one for 6 months now, very satisified, at last a decent phone from Nokia, not perfect but decent. Also meets all of your criteria. Do have a look at the E65 too, it's expensive but used a friend's today & was very impressed, nice phone.
