hey Aza its for a friend actually. she already has a K750i. Was looking for something different. The joystick for sony ericsson's are really bad after a few months they dont work cause of dirt accumulation. I have 3 friends with K750i with same complain. I'm guessing K790i will have same problem.

this one had 1GB mem card and looked sturdy. Also seeing W610 which should be out shortly.

Sony Ericsson W610 - Full phone specifications

Nokia has nothing in that budget. they have one perfect phone but not for india I think:

Nokia N75 - Full phone specifications

Yea n95 wouldn be a perfect phone but what about the after sale service its bad its the least i can say

i gave my friends d900 to samgung guys and they replaced the battery and reloaded the software and returned it in 1 hour

and i gave my sisters l6 to motorola guys (the camera wasn't working) they gave it back within 5 --10 mins

And my w700 about a year back developed some problem after 3 days of buying it and it was replaced without even asking a question

in short i am saying that nokia has good phones but no back up
i have my n91 for about a month in nokia care and now they are telling that its been replaced

the set has already been to nokia care 3 time earlier
they cann't get hold of the problem its the same as always

Well if there is no update available then your phone is already upto date. Maybe you bought the phone with latest firmware version.

My E50 has a 1GB micro SD card. NCP brand. Shouldn't cost more than 850-950 Rs.

About Rs.750 (equivalent) now and crashing fast. I was stunned when I saw a 1GB Flash Disk in the local supermarket here for Dhs.18 (Thats about Rs.200) - apparently the 4GB version costs less than Rs.1000.

Memory prices are crashing...or fading - fast!

Thanks Steeroid,mail4ajo and akshay1234. 4GB for Rs.1000 is damn cheap. You are talking about the micro SD card right Steeroid?

@mail4ajo : I saw an 1 GB NCP branded card in velachery for 650. The shopkeeper did not recommend it. He has asked me to wait untill tomorrow so he can get me a Transcend one. How is the performance of the card? Does it slow down the phone? You have a E50 i guess.
