I gifted my mom, a Moto G (3rd Gen) which has all the above features listed. A key feature is that it is water proof.

Re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

Guys, am in a fix here.

Am using the Note II for the past 3 years now. Phone is still working fine - but even after umpteen ROMs and Ports am now bored off it.

Need a new phone. Was waiting for the Note 5 but the lack of SD card and removable battery coupled with the erratic RAM management spoiled it for me.

Checked out other alternatives but none seem fine:

LG G4: Dont like LG UI
Nexus 6: Lack of SD Card slot and non removable battery
OP2: Waiting List, Lack of SD Card and non removable battery
HTC One M9: SD810, Lack of SD Card and non removable battery

The only option left is the Note 4 it seems. But I've heard its also plagued with battery issues and Touchwiz lags. Can any Note 4 owner pl give a short view on his device. Looking to buy in the next 1 month or so.

Thanks

Re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

My mum wants to give a phone to the domestic help & it needs to be within 3,500/-.

Need suggestions as to which phone would be best. Currently I've chosen this T-Max Innocent i502 8 GB (Black).

Prefer one which her 8yr old kid can play a game or two.

I too am in the lookout to buy the Lenovo K3.
Unfortunately, Flipkart hasn't stocked yet though it is available in open sale.

Any ideas how much longer before it is available.

Any reviews will be welcome.

Hi, any one using Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML 4GB model?
Please share what's the overall review, is it snappy with 4GB RAM, does it suffer from heating issues, call quality and camera performance.
Thanks in advance,
Roy

Hi Anirban001 - I think you should visit LG service center to get it replaced. You can also get it fixed in National Market.

Hi Barath

I recalled a Samsung Flip Phone (I9230) that was available from Flipkart. Currently showing as out of stock.
Like you said, flip phones are out of fashion, but I still love them and am looking forward to them coming back in trend.

Re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

I'm at the end of my tether with my S3. It's on stock ROM (can't root it due to device policies at work), and it lags no end even for basic tasks. I'm not a heavy app user and don't play games or stream video on the device. My primary use is calling/texting, email and a few news and utility apps.

What can I do to speed the stock ROM up? If I HAVE to buy a new phone, which one? My requirements are simple: shouldn't lag and shouldn't cost an arm, leg and a kidney, should be able to handle ActiveSync (for email) and a few apps.

If my organisation still supported Blackberry, I wouldn't even be asking but nobody wants anything to do with that dinosaur anymore apparently.

Re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

guys anybody has any contacts with Asus mobile India service head.
My Zenfone 2 has been at the service centre for over a month now and they still have no clue when they can give me my repaired piece back. Tried writing to through the normal channels and all I got was standard replies.
Any leads towards some higher-ups would be of great help.

Re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

I use phone for music than calls.

I had a htc explorer and sony xperia arc S before switching to windows lumia 520; and the audio quality seem to be excellent in the nokia, the sennheiser cx180 IEMs only made it sound it even more discernible.

Which android this side of 15k will match or surpass the music quality?

I prefer listening to music without equalizers, if that matters.

Re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

My Microsoft Lumia 640 screen cracked. I am looking for a replacement screen and local shop is charging >4500 Rupees for a new screen. I checked online and the LCD is available for around 2K.

Is there any reliable website from where anyone of you have ordered a LCD and it worked fine without problems ? I need to order the LCD ASAP as I have a travel coming up and need it to be working soon. Thank you.

Hi Chetan, did you look at Windows phones? I had a Xperia SL for which I had paid more than 20K when I bought it new a few years back. Within 1.5 years, it started lagging. I could not even place calls peacefully. Have moved to Windows (Lumia 730) 9 months back and its peaceful. No lag and performs all basic operations smoothly. Though Nokia has now stopped, the Microsoft range is good. You will not end up spending more than 15K on a great piece with very good spec. My requirements are similar to yours and my corporate email sync (O365) works like a charm.
