Hey Buddy,

You already have the answers about the security code & Contacts.

From my experience, I've been using custom firmware for 5 months now. What it means is developers take the original firmware and make enhancements to improve it. Lemme know if you need to understand it how it works.

The only PDF reader available opens much slower than Android phones. Galaxy s compared with focus. There is no bookmarks, no search, no opening if password protected files. I carry a lot of documents in phone which vary from few pages to 5000. How can I view them when wanted?

Thanks. You are right. I just tried to open a password protected pdf, and it did not work.

Ace is good. Does all you want. But I would suggest you add Motorola Defy+ (Motorola Defy Plus: Price in India, Reviews, Specification: Flipkart.com) and Sony Ericcson NeoV (Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V: Price in India, Reviews, Specification: Flipkart.com)

re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

your best bet at a price upto 18k would be
  • Samsung Galaxy S plus
    SE Neo V

the ACE is VFM but has features that are already outdated.
the Defy+ is no longer VFM

get the Nokia N8 if your a total cam person
Nokia Lumia 710 is a good phone but windows havnt been fully established and will have minor issues such as bluetooth transfers.

if you raise the price limit close to 20k you can get online deals for Galaxy R or LG optimus 2X which are a league ahead from choices above

I'm discovering a bug a day with the Belle update: songs downloaded from Ovi music had their licence revoked so had to get licence back for every single song individually: really getting on my nerves.

Isn't the Galaxy Ace Updated with Gingerbread update?

After reading the reviews, I have drilled down my options to Galaxy Ace (Gingerbread) and Galaxy R. I have read some forums that Galaxy R is discontinued. Can any one throw some light on it.

Where can i get Galaxy R in 20K?

Moto Defy+ is good but here in Goa no one sells Motorola Phones as they sey the after sale service is worst.

@ariendj: Heard lot of Battery Drain issues in Lumia 710, where as Galaxy R looks good. Help me to find a good deal for Galaxy R.

I think ace and galaxy r are in completely different segments. Price wise as well as features wise..I would definately recommend galaxy r but you will not find it at many places. It is not discontinued but it has stopped shipping to India I guess. You will have to ask the dealers itself if there is any stock left. Buy one if you are getting it.

Which one is a better buy: Samsung note or S2?

Since there not much of a difference in price hence the question. Need a phone with real good camera (HD recording) and that can be shared with Facebook and other social network. Can support office mail box.

You want to buy a car and want advise on which size car to buy but won't tell us the space of your underground parking. What if a large car is simply impractical?

re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

Yesterday evening, I Visited Samsung Store to check Galaxy Ace & Galaxy Y. I found difficult in typing on Galaxy Y buts very responsive cell better then Ace on the other hand Galaxy ace looks dated with poor screen resolution.

I asked the Sales guy for Galaxy R, he confirmed me that the model is discontinued as it was hampering the sale of S II.

I also check out Galaxy SII i9100G, Note and Galaxy Tab T620. I am now more incline towards this models. which of this form factor is future proof (i.e SmartPhone or Pablet or Tablet)?

Is anyone using Galaxy Note in this forum? I am getting one for 28K from the store with Gingerbread 2.3.5. Is any one facing heating issue as the one in SII i9100G?
