Thats a problem with my E72 as well as my E52 and with many other people's phones.

The only partially successful solution I know is - clear the phone log. and set the log to be relatively short as against a long log 'like 30 days'. . . . try it.

Tried punching the numbers you told me to. Nothing happened. It said "requesting" and then came back to the main screen.

I have changed the log settings. Lets see how it performs. If it doesn't improve things, I will then try what Silversteed has suggested.

I m shocked that such an expensive phone doesn't have a reliable OS.

No wonder Nokia is losing its marketshare so rapidly.

I think you missed the "*". You should enter STAR-HASH-7-7-8-0-HASH. The moment you press #, it'll prompt you to proceed with restoring factory settings, and ask for the unlock code. Give it a try

Sorry friend, Nokia phone with touchscreen, GPS and good camera with flash is not available in this price range.

You will have to increase your budget or compromise on your feature list.

Windows Phone 7 Discussions

Hi,

Any WP7 users updated with teh new NoDo update?

I received the update notification on tuesday and did the update the same night. At the 9th step where the update reboots the phone after installing the update, the phone was stuck at HTC logo. It would not boot.

After waiting for a very long time i rebooted it manually the result was same then i did a hard reset and the still the phone does not boot.

Anybody else with same issues?

Question for Vodafone users here:
Can Vodafone Live be used for anything other than browsing? Or do i need Vodafone Mobile Connect for that?

Could you give some examples for "other than browsing" ?

If you mean installing apps, push mail service etc etc then yes , it can be used using LIVE .

Yes, i am talking about apps, mail etc. Reason I am asking is i had mobile connect earlier, which i unsubscribed recently. I was using VMC mainly to use my phone as modem. But now i have only vodafone live. Browser works, but other apps stopped working.

SilentEngine, Vodafone Connect and Vodafone Live are two different things. The latter gives you access to only WAP sites and nothing further. Most of the apps need a proper internet connection unlike WAP. This is provided by Vodafone Mobile Connect.

Open fring, and try to log in through WAP - you won't be able to do it. Try the same in VMC, it will get connected. Some apps, such as google maps require only a WAP connection, hence it doesn't affect their functionality. But a lot others require VMC.
