Are these "audio-out" or "audio-in" connectors. If one is audio out and another is audio in then you can connect your head set (with adapters for 2.5->3.5 mm or 3.5 -> 2.5).

I do not know whether it'd be proper to post it here, but couldn't find any other proper thread either. Have a small query - I recently bought a used W810 from ebay. I found out that the IMEI number retrieved from dialling *#06# and the one on the body (below the battery) are different.
I am more comcerned as to how safe is it to use this phone, the seller be damned!

This could be due to motherboard of the phone getting replaced due to some issue.

Do you have some receipt from seller?

No receipts! But, isn't the PaisaPay transaction id a receipt/proof enough?

Reason is, there are very very minimal chances of trouble due to IMEI misuse. Just to avoid any possible issue, its geed to have a receipt with IMEI number.

What you could do is, send an ebay message to seller and get a confirmation about this. This way you would have a record that you purchased phone with this IMEI number at a certain date and are not responsible for anything prior to that date.

Any idea as to how is MVL G81 push mail phone the one with the 'Baji Push mail ki Ghanti" ad, plannig to buy it, anyone owning it pls give feedback

Should be possible to re-install using Moto Software updater. At least it was possible with L7. Get it from their site.

Through their website, I can just update the software. I tried that, it says the version on my phone is the latest.

I want to format the phone completely and then re-install.

Any idea how I could do that? I have already tried Motorola Service.

Point noted. Thank You! :thumbs up

But somehow, the IMEI issue is still bothering me..

Most probably phone was repaired and mainbopard was replaced. This would cause IMEI to change. You can clarify that with Ebay seller as well.

Nokia E-7 on pre-order at nokia india website and the price is Rs. 35019(MRP). This is way high price.

If you opt to re-install the same version, you should achieve the same thing; ie. everything will be wiped out. Isn't that your intent?

SE Arc and Neo on pre-order at Flipkart for 29k and 25k respectively. Pretty steep prices. I was hoping the they would be 25k and 20k.

I am looking for a new handset. The requirement is not urgent, I am willing to wait for a few months if some new model is about to be launched, which meets my requirements. My requirements are:
- Touch screen (at least 3.2 inch)
- 3G (including front facing video camera)
- GPS, Bluetooth, wifi etc
- On screen QWERTY keypad
- Good call clarity and signal strength
- Decent sound (music) quality
- Decent battery backup
- Decent size and weight
- Only reputed brands like Nokia, SE, Samsung, LG etc
- Budget 10-15k (max)

I am not biased towards or against any brand or OS, but my requirements seem to push me towards Nokia. Symbian may not be the best OS, but IMHO, Nokia makes great hardware. Fancy features in a phone do not excite me if the basic features like call clarity and battery backup are dodgy. Nokia always gets these basics right. Another factor in favour of Nokia is free voice guided GPS navigation with pre-loaded maps. :thumbs up

- Nokia C6-00 meets my requirements to the T, but the damn thing is too bulky and heavy.
- Nokia X6 is also good, but doesn't have expandable memory.
- Is the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic still available ? I should have grabbed one while it was still on sale.
- Nokia C5 seems to meet my requirements, except that it is not a touch screen. Really value for money. :thumbs up

Please suggest what other options do I have.

Rohan
