@sahil... Nokia candy bar phones still rule the roost when it comes to longevity and user experience. Unfortunately that era is coming to close with branded touch phones available for less than 5k's now.

Yes I know, even the Mobilestore guy tried to push me to get some Nokia 62xx for around the same price as 6303i. He found it hard to digest that I'd pick a conventional phone over a touchscreen.

HTC Wildfire is going to be launched tomorrow.

Android 2.1
3.2" QVGA Screen
384MB RAM 512 MB ROM
528 MHZ processor
5 MP cam with Auto Focus and LED Flash
and other bells and whistles like Wi-Fi and A-GPS

Will cost 16.5k MRP. The only downside i see in the phone is resolution and that QVGA screen.

Well my cousin is looking for an Android phone after he lost his Nokia E72. And the dealer said that it will cost 16.5K (dunno if it was the MRP or not). The distributor was also there at the moment in their showroom noting down the orders

I have a Samsung D780 phone and am trying to install opera Mini. I have downloaded the .jad and .rar file but not sure how to proceed further.
Has anybody tried this?
Another thing is that I am also trying to upgrade the firmware of this phone. I have downloaded the upgraded firmware but not sure how to proceed further.
Has anybody tried to upgrade the firmware of their Samsong Phones?

You need to install the Samsung software ( dont remember the name right now ) to upgrade your firmware and then connect the phone to the PC and it should recognize your phone model and then it should be straightforward.
Regarding , installing of Opera Mini. Copy the file onto your phone and then select the file and select Execute or Install from the options and it should install it. Make sure you have your GPRS settings configured properly. I hope you have downloaded the correct version of Opera Mini for your phone, if not you can find the correct version from here :
Opera Mini & Opera Mobile ? Download

I think the D780 doesn't support the latest version of Opera Mini and will run only Opera Mini 4 .

3) Must have a 3MP camera with a FLASH (Most important)
4) Must support Internet access to G-mail + Formula1 + T-BHP
5) Must have GPS
6) Must not be over 10K in price

I think the Samsung Monte suits your requirements perfectly. It has everything you asked and the price is around 8500/- . Do check it out if it meets your requirement.
