How is Fly Mobile?

Im thinking of going in for the B430DS model (Dual Sim). Costs around 3500 bucks but looks awesome for the price.

Is anyone using this make? If so, how is it overall?

And how does it compare to Micromax Q5 - http://www.technologynews.co.in/wp-c...cromax-q51.jpg

I've been using the B430 for the last one month now. Its a total VFM. Got it for 3300/- and got an additional 2GB memory card as well. No issues at all.
Infact the phone has not frozen even once.
Audio qualify is good and i've used it with external speakers.
Battery life lasts for about 5-6 days with regular usage.

Its not something that can be compared to a Q5. Anyway the Q5 has a track ball which is the first thing that goes bad.
Also the Q5 is too bulky and much heavier than the B430.

Completely agree with audiophile. Me too got this model one month back. Totally happy with that. Very good battery backup. Before charging phone for first time, i struggled to complete discharge of the phone battery . Switched on music, kept the camera ON, FM what ever i try battery is not getting discharged

Camera is not so good. Anyways i got this fone due to its light weight , QWERT key pad and chrome kind of finish.

I checked out my friends Q5 other days. Its bulky, heavy!. Only USP is that touch mouse!

@Audiophile,

Dude, where you got Fly for 3300? How much you paid for 2GB card?

I bought their touch screen model some time back. It was a horrendous experience. Even the buttons on the phone needed to be pushed twice to make them work.
Initial couple of months the phone was ok. After that, it all went downhill.
And after just 6 months of using it, it started looking like a 5 year old phone, with paint peeling off from its edges.
Lesson learnt: You get what you pay for. Cheap phone will get you cheap quality only.

What is the difference between Nokia C6 and the existing N97 mini ?

When is C6 expected to reach the stores in India ?

I have this model since a month. Its an extremely basic call/sms/music/gmail relevant phone, but it does it all MUCh faster than my e63. Don't expect messengers or any general applications ofc. The display is sad of course :-)

My set went dead in exactly one month. Took a day to repair but it came back without loss of data. Works like a charm since then.

I generally use my phone only for calls and sms. Not into mobile internet/e-mail etc. So anything other than the basic functions would be a bonus.

Thats usually true with any phone. I was using a Sony W880i, now its developed an internal problem where it only accepts sim cards from specific providers. While airtel works perfectly, vodafone and docomo show the "no access to network" message. Sony says it cannot be repaired.

If things have to go wrong, they will in any case. I just dont want to burn my pockets the next time this happens. The Sony was 18K when i bought it and its of no use to me now (luckily, my mom uses airtel, so i'v given it to her).

Lets see, i'l give the Fly M a shot. If it works......fine! If it doesn't, i only lose 20% of the money i lost with the Sony.

Shan2nu

even with same intention i got the phone. I wanted to buy black berry
but its 14K where as this is 3.5K agree that this is no where close to Blackberry, but serves me well with its dual SIM card and good battery backup!

so i can spend the 14K over over period of 4 years buying diffrent cheap 3.5K models even if these cheap ones last atleast 1 year

Any one saw some chinese mobile ad on TOI, its name is blackcherry

I called up some of the local cell stores and they told me that they would be getting stocks from the 4th of May. Hope they price it at not more than 13k.
I'm still trying to find the differences between the n97 and the c6. Probably a faster processor on the 97.

I picked this phone from Sai Comm (Vyalikaval) about a week ago. It simply rocks and is unbeatable for the price ! I picked up the only box he had and three people have been waiting for stocks ever since. I heard that Univercell can source the phone in a day or two if you place an order.

Any symbian or android phone can do this too. The options are almost endless.
