Ear phones don't gel well with my ears. After using them for 15 minutes, it starts hurting quite a bit.
Plus, I hate carrying along a bunch of wires.

Do you think wireless ones would help?

Oh that's great. Can you please advice regarding the reliability of the Q3. It was one of the phones I was considering.

Can some sort of full body lamination be used on qwerty phones? Actually I used a Blackberry for a few days recently and am totally sold out to the idea of a qwerty keypad!

A good handsfree is what you need.

I have a Sony Ericsson DS200 Bluetooth Stereo Headset. It has a standard 3.5mm jack to which you can connect any standard headphone/earphone/external speakers which you find comfortable.

I use it to listen to music while jogging/walking. The sound quality is amazing.

This can also be used to make and receive calls, the call quality is crystal clear.

Similar products are available from Nokia and Samsung also.

Battery life quoted is 3-4 hrs. I have never used it continuously for more than 2 hrs, so can't guarantee beyond that. But you can always charge it when the battery level drops. (There is a small display which provides battery indication)

This should work with any phone with Bluetooth (A2DP profile).

Using a handsfree also frees your hands for texting while talking.

Nokia BH504 has a talktime of 10 hours. Nokia India - Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-104 - Specifications has the info. It works as much in real life too.

The Q3 is with an acquaintance. Of course, its not the E63's feel, but does most of the jobs though I'd honestly advise you to pony up 6000 bucks for a blackberry 8707g and get real solid reliability and ruggedness

Oh! I did not know that a Blackberry can be had for that low.

This gives me something to think about.

I think I should get my 3600 Slide repaired (600 bucks estimated cost) and save up for a BlackBerry.

Thanks a lot Ram. I am actually trying to cut down on it. I already suffer from high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Its time I start taking serious care of my health.

Deep down south (Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, Sivakasi, etc) Nokia-maps are poor, only the highways are shown. Google-maps are far superior. Chennai Nokia-maps may be better, also it has voice-navigation whereas Google-maps does not.

Also Nokia-maps may not need a continous gprs connection unlike Google-maps.
