@all.. Does anybody has any idea if kinetic scrolling will be coming to Nokia 5800 at all? I read somewhere that it wont and if its true then its really dissapointing. Even the cheapest of the S60 touch devices have got the kinetic scrolling barring the 5800.

Also, is it possible to load a 3rd party software to accomplish similar functions on Nokia devices. Any pointers would be highly appreciated.

Nokia E series have this feature and so do the blackberries. There are a lot of 3rd party applications for S60 platform that can do the same. I have a N82 that i use for pictures and videos and i have installed phone guard on it. It not only locks and erases the phone it also sends GPS location/sim number etc via sms.

Thanks a lot aZa. A couple of more questions:
Phone guard, how much? And, is it on yearly license basis or a one time fee? Is it available at the retailers?

I guess I can go ahead and buy an S60 phone and go for this phone-guard thing. BTW, is there anything available for S40 as well (for wife's phone)? Now I'm a little bit paranoid about losing the phone and the data. I never thought losing it would cause so much of grief

Thanks nandishpal. But as you can see, i've now started seriously considering the N900 (assuming/hoping it will launch sometime in Q4 2009 in India ???) Please let me know if you hear anything on that!

Hi all, i was thinking of getting a GPS system for my car. As the price is around RS10K to 15K, i figured why not get a phone which supports this. The nokia 5800 looks good and had a GPS. I saw some TBhpians have picked this one up. Any comments on the GPS part of the phone. Does it work?
thanks

Acer DX900 - Dual SIM with WiFi and GPS

Anybody has any experience with Acrer phones, especially the DX900, which is a dual sim phone with WiFi and GPS. After carrying two phones, one for work and one for personal use, I've been looking for a dual SIM phone and DX900 appears to be the right one to fit my need.

But, considering the fact that Acer is a relatively new player in this field, I want to be little cautious before making a purchase decision.

Looking forward to hear experiences with Acer phones or comments/reviews.

Regards
Rex

Anyone got Sony Ericsson Satio (Full Touch Screen / 12 MP Cam / Fantastic Media Capabilities & add-ons) or Aino (Partial Touch Screen / 8 MP Cam/ Very Good Media Player, with all the bells and whistles)?

Aino is going for around 25K & Satio / Idou for 32K on UniVerCell. Time for reviews if we got it onboard already.
