I'm confused now b/w the 5800xpress and the touch diamond. It's such a nuisance buying these things. Help guys.
I feel like having a poll

ha ha ha dude the more you ask people the more confused you will get.

you just need to weight the pros and cons of each model and then ultimately its your decision and your choice

i would say go for the Diamond

My last question(hopefully)
A friend of mine is coming back from singapore. I believe the touch diamond is around 14-15k there and it's the model with 3g. That makes it almost 4k cheaper and I also get 3g. I miss out on warranty but i'm wondering if that's such a big deal. I'll manage most software issues and if there's any physical damage than it'll be chargeable regardless. He'll check it before he brings it so there shouldn't be any difficulty, Am I overlooking something, anyone in singapore who can confirm price, also is the model the same, with 1340 mah battery and will it work with indian operators.
Lastly, in case of some major problem I can always send it for repairs na ?

WARNING

Do not reset an ASUS P527 when SatGuide is running. This causes a loss of all the data in the storage card.
This might hold true for most Windows Mobile phones.

dude have no clue about what pack is available in S'pore :(

but my suggestion would be to buy it in India itself. when you are paying upwards of 10k for a phone i would think warranty is important. but hey that's just my opinion

Till date i've never had a great experience with warranty. Software problems I can manage, and if something major happens i can send it to singapore, I know people there. +3g, I quite want that since it's around the corner here in India. I don't know yaar, still to know the price in singapore. If the difference is major i think i'll give it a go.

I say pick it and ensure it's a operator unlocked handset. Most of the issues that are faced at later stage is due to OS corruption unless the device is physically abused.

Between 5800 and Diamond I would go with HTC, if possible pick diamond latest model which should have come out by now?

Thanks Jaggu, What you stated is exactly the reason behind this thought.
I don't quite get you, what d'u mean by latest model?
Are you referring to the diamond2(out of budget, not yet available in India anyway) or the diamond with the later ram and bigger capacity battery.
Any ideas about the price, my friend is still looking.
Thanks again

well then if you are confident about not needing warranty then i don't see anything stopping you from getting it

after all it is 3G enabled

I was referring to Diamond 2 and if not pick the upgraded one with bigger battery, weak link of diamond was the battery back up.
