Hi guys any news on the touch pro, also one more thing, just checked that the touch diamond is not configerable to the latest roms or updates available from htc, as it is airtel locked and branded, and airtel will have to release the new updates for the phone. So this is a deal breaker for me as I wanted to buy this and upgrade it to the latest 1.93 rom, but looks like that dont work for us in India, as we are on a 2G phone, and the 1.93 update is for 3g phones only. SO till airtel wake up, which I dont think they will, we are stuck with old firmware. So my question to you guys is, is there anyplace in bangalore that I can visit for an imported 3g diamond?

replacing my 9300i for a e71, need your help

@gotzuk, @redrage,
i want to upgrade from my 9300i to the e71, just want to know the following:
1. Can you schedule an SMS at a specific date & time as in the 9300i.
2. Can you select & save images from the in built browser.
3. Any of you who had the 9300i before, how does using the e71 feel i.e. does it feel complete. Do you think there is something missing from the 9300i with the overall ui etc.?
please help.
4. How much did you pay for it, grey / bill+w
5. What capacity memory card is included in the sales package.
6. I had an e61 in between which used to hang & reboot on its own as hell changed back to a 9300, any similar problems with the e71.

thanx,
anil

I just enquired yesterday with a known guy called Ganesh in National Market, (Third shop from main entrance), he said 15,000 Rs without bill and warranty.

Subject: Nokia - Suraj Nambiar - N82 Phone Functionality

Hi All

I sincerly wished that i wouldnt have to type a mail to you guys again. I received my N82 on 16tth of August. I checked the status of the my job sheet number on the online service. It said that my phone was ready for delivery. Only to go to the place and find out that it would be ready only by evening. I fail to understand why can’t you guys show the correct status online so that I don’t have to spend my entire day for this phone. Is this just to mislead the customers?? When I finally went back to the place in the evening, The guy at the NOKIA care told me that he had fixed the phone and there was a problem with the speaker. I checked the music player and it worked fine, but when I checked the FM radio on the phone, there was hardly any sound coming through the loudspeaker. When I enquired about it the guy convinced me that it was because I was inside the building and it would work fine outside. I refused to the take the delivery of the phone till it was completely fixed. He took back the phone only to return back after 30mins, the radio loudspeaker was still the same with pathetic low voice when the activate loudspeaker option was turned on the FM radio. Finally the guy convinced me that it should work fine once I am outside and if it doesn’t work I can get it back for repair. I am having the phone with me now and the FM radio is anything but working fine. Even when the loudspeaker is turned off and I am listening through the headphones, there is a sudden increase and decrease in the volume. The loudspeaker volume is nothing to be talked about. If you are even contemplating tell me that the issue is because of FM reception, then mind you I stay in the middle of Bangalore city ( Basavanagudi ), and the issue is with all FM channels on air. One more thing I noticed after getting back the phone is that it has lot of dust inside the screen ( might have got it when they opened it for repair ) and the keypad makes squeaky sounds when I use it after getting the phone back from repair. I am convinced that I have paid RS 19,600 for a lemon, which just got worst after me getting it back from repair. I am not sure what kind of quality control you guys follow to allow such a lemon to be sold to customers. How much more time do you expect me to spend behind a one month old phone for it to work correctly?? I demand a full refund of the money or a brand new replacement phone. I hope to receive a reply from you soon, Please escalate this to the highest level you can and if not I would have to find out other ways to do the same.

Thanks and regards,

Well the N96 is finally here, but at 35k looks a bit out of my reach. By the way, just from the reviews and comparisions did not find too much of a difference between n95 8gb and the n96 in terms of technical features. May be faster though. But why o why have they stuck with the 900 mh battery???

True N96 has just got 8gb more than N95 8gig, I don't understand why doesn't Nokia improves on the battery front

N95 8gb rulz!

the processor for both N95 8gb and N96 are the same.the N96 has a back stand..extra memory and navi wheel system which i think is not worth dumping N95 8gb!!
btw N95 8gb has better battery life out of the two.im sticking on wit the new N95 all the way!!!!

Today afternoon, I saw a scrolling on CNBC with the prices of iPhone 3G. It says that 8gb phone costs around 30-31k and 16gb phone costs around 35-36k for both Airtel and Vodafone.

Sorry, posted in the wrong thread... Mods, pl. delete this post

I got the SMS from Vodafone today morning. 8 GB iPhone costs 31k and 16GB model for 36.1K. Booking period today and tomorrow on payment of 10k at any Vodafone store, by showing SMS as a valid proff of 'having pre-booked' the HypePhone.

One drawback which i noticed on the N95 8gb is that you cant back up the contacts and the settings on the memory card since it does not have extended memory card ( However it can be backuped on the PC ofcourse ). I was able to take a back up of my contacts and other info ( calender entries, settings etc ) on my memory card on my N82 before giving it for repair. I was able to restore all the settings and contacts from the memory card after getting back the phone from repair.

Do any N82 user here has issues with the FM radio loudspeaker ?? is it loud enough ?? My phone is driving me nuts!!
