There is an annoying issue with my N82, when ever i make a call and disconnect a flash msg comes on the screen with the last call charge and the balance on my prepaid account and i get the SMS alert tone. I used to get this msg on my E50 too, but it never played the sms alert ringtone. Does anyone know how to turn this off?

Looking for a phone in 13-14k range.
Need not be a business phone. However, decent camera and big screen is desirable.
Please suggest.

Try Looking at Nokia E61i. Though its 3-4k more expensive . I think it ll fit your bill. E51 would have been recommended but the screen aint that big !

@DCEite... Dont even think of the Moto Rokr E8. I dont know how and why can they praise the sound quality of this phone. It sounds absolutely pathetic. My friend was given one by motorola as a beta product and I sampled it. The sound quality by far is the worse I have experienced on a music oriented device. On the plus sides are the look but then again UI and the ipod like touch wheel left a lot to be desired.
Go for the N81, its by far the best music phone available in the market.

I am testing out the gps on my n95 8gb for the first time. I want to be able to use it without accessing gprs for data. I went about Bangalore yesterday and Nokia maps was pretty good but some of the inside lanes around the HAL area were not present in the maps.

I have been reading about this map loader utility. Here are my questions:
1. Does the Nokia Map Loader contain maps that are not already pre loaded on the n95 8gb?
2. I downloaded and installed the map loader but it gives an error message on startup "The PC Site version installed on your PC is not compatible with Map Loader. Please update your PC Suite Software" My PC Suite is the latest version. I don't know why I continue to get this error message. I actually downloaded the map loader utility twice and re installed to double check.

My other question is to the folks who are using some third party maps like satguide/mapmyindia etc. Do these come with voice guided navigation and which are the ones that require no access to the net? Also, how easy is it to install these?

Uninstall PC Suite / Map loader from you PC.

Download N Series version of PC Suite from nseries.com.

It is the same software, but it comes bundled with Map loader + Nokia Photos + other things.

Since everything is in the same package, this kind of configuration problem should nto occur.

Mapmyindia.com also has voice navigation. Most navigation packages would not rely on net.

Guys whats the deal with the n82 keypad ? Im talking about the backlight is it good enough to see in the dark. The reason I asked is I was just in a store fiddling with it and it didnt seem very bright.

More or less decided on the n82, also the se960i looks hot but then im a nokia dude and symbian is sort of hard to beat.
