wow didnt know that the diamond would be launched so quickly. Thought it would take some time specially since the websites like gsmarena say that it is still to be launched, last time i checked. Is it worth it for 32k?

Am too tempted to pick it up asap or should i wait n watch for iphone 2? I know it will be lil bulky compared to diamond, but the UI is worth it, then again am not sure apple will let me have all the work flexibility? Surprise me apple please.

Diamond rocks. I guess it will blow away the iphone, and am saying this at the risk of getting quite a few replies. I have used the iphone recently and what it does it does well and with a lot of style, but cannot take away the fact that it does not do a lot of things that heavy users want. The Iphone is still one of the best looking phones with one of the coolest interfaces, but on the functionality side it takes a hit. Well will have to wait for iphone v2 before I add anything more and risk it

How come the diamond is cheaper than the touch cruise?? The cruise sells for around 31k.

Given a choice between the apple iphone and htc diamond, my money would go to the diamond, hands down. I say this because:
1. the iPhone needs atleast 3-4 makeovers to become usable! It does not have a bt stack till now! What else can one expect!!
2. the diamond is on WM and you can do wonders with it. I would choose Nokia over any other manufacturer any day. My ultimate phone would be the E90 with Windows Mobile!

The only flaw I could find with the diamond is that its storage is limited to 4GB. HTC for God's sake, we have SD Cards which are 8GB!!

@Mav: the Cruise is not locked to an operator, thus 31k. The diamond would be operator locked.

@Jaggu: The only thing which I think Apple will announce on 9th June would be the 3G iPhone and probably its availability in a lot more countries and un-locked iPhones. Maybe a higher capacity iPhone.

Hi Sumit there seems to be no news on the airtel website regarding the diamond, but then again lets wait and see. i currently use airtel so dont have a problem of going in for the diamond, but would that mean we have to choose a new package from airtel or what?

Phone!

Whats the going rate for the N73 now? Seems like the logical upgrade for me (using the Nokia6681 currently).

My friends SE also seems nice, I think its the 810i? With the xenon flash etc. The UI is gorgeous... but somehow SE seem to appear a little flimsy to me.

Iv been a Nokia user since 1999, old habits die hard? Hehe

Lg Ks20

Guys, I tried searching this thread about the LG KS20... have anyone used it or know anything more than you can find in the internet...

I am considering buying this one... Its sold at around 18 to 20K by various retailers in India...

souljah,

SE is not flimsy, but battery life is 1.5-2 days at uber sipping feature wise it can trump nokia anyday at a similar price

like 10k vs 13k for n73 still. if you wanna compare pics, check xbhp's rajasthan triplog and pokemo's blr-rohtang triplog (posted earlier in this thread only by me!)

For normal N73 its close to 11k's while the music edition will be costlier by around 1k's. I would suggest Nokia over SE anyday... I have used 2 SE's before coming back to Nokia for good. N73 is a smartphone whereas SE isnt and hence it limits the no. of SMS's that you can store, the no. of contact you can store besides numerous other symbian applications that are scattered everywhere. Being a phone with OS is a big plus for Nokia N73. SE's phone's basically revolve around the same feature set with different body styles and they are ridiculously priced for what they offer.
The biggest problem with SE's is the connector they use for connecting the charger and headphones, it gets loose with usage and has gotten to a point that my friend has to use a rubberband to tighten connector links for charging his P990i
As a Nokia user I would advice you to be with Nokia... Se would be a big dissapointment. If you can stretch your budget, have a look at the Nokia N82... that phone is almost perfect. I am using one and I am very very satisfied with it.
