Good phone ajo, congratz. Mobile camera's at the end of the day has its own limitation, especially in dim light scenario, so dont bother too much about it.

Its a bonus for one of those scoop pics so let it be.

I just got the E51 today and playing around with it. Quite fast compared to my E50. Its not a multimedia phone and dont expect anything fancy. I think its the fastest and slimmest phone Nokia has now. Multitasking doesnt slow the phone. Net connect is quite fast.

Cam is seriously BAD.
I searched all shops in Chennai for non camera version. No one stocks it. I just hate the cam and wonder why Nokia is giving such a bad camera in the first place. I have a camera gear worth 52K plus a point and shoot, so wont use the phone cam.
Congrats mail4ajo. How much did you pay for it?

Fountainheader, do you need symbian os smartphone, then n73 or e51.
else your choice is between 5610 or k790i.
Personally i would go for the 5610 because it has a great camera and good music capabilities.

I am looking for a cell phone in the ranges of 15K, was thinking to go for HTC Touch. Anyone here using it or have used it in the past, how is the performance and is there any better option available.

Cheers

Yes Jaggu. I get to spot imported and sometimes wacky cars with the mobile cam. Works ok in sunlight.

11.4K with warranty. Lowest I got in Chennai. I think the non cam model is about 1K less, But no stock anywhere.

I guess the 5610 runs on the 3rd version of S40 which is quite capable based on lots of reviews. Its got a flash for the 3.2MP cam, which is a welcome addition.

My friend uses the Touch. I would rate it as good after playing with for 2 hours. The touch screen can be a bit tricky at times. I had issues. My friend was conversant with it. Takes a little getting used to. The windows like interface is user friendly.

I bought my N81 8GB for 15.6k, as at this price point it made no sense to go for 2 GB.

I though seriously recommend u to consider N82. Even though in India we dont have the black version yet, but at 20k, with all N81 features + 5 mega pixel camera + GPS reciever, it sure is much more value for money
I'm getting the 8 GB in black color with B&W for 14.2 is that a good deal, i havent been in the nokia world for a while so what apps and where to get them from ?

Thats a nice price. Any freebies (memory card etc)? Are the prices different for different colors?

Thanks gr8guzzler. What type of apps do you have? The phone has a inbuilt keypad lock, but has some limitations, so I am using a app I used on my E50. Free one from all about symbian.

Standard price across colors. The sales pack has a cute pouch and a 512MB microSD card and cleaning cloth.
