Thanks for checking out the pix

But the pix does not come out the the k790i like that. It needs quite some post processing. All images need sharpening and almost all require adjustment in levels, contrast etc....

Just to give an idea here are the pix before and after my humble editing:

of the fone cam:

Nokia n73 gives sharper images but k790i will give bettor night shots.

As regards to battery life:
get around 3 days with full battery with minimal fone usage
with a couple of hours or music a day - two days
with full battery can click around 110 images before the battery runs out.

I dont listen to music on the phone - only talk-time & snaps. Previous experience with the K750i has been good, so guess the battery life suits my usage. Thanks, though.

A little PP is fine. Basically, the base clarity cannot be improved. So it becomes important that the device takes pics that are good enough to be post processed.

The K790i's feature set for the camera is impressive.

For those who want the iPhone, have you checked this: GE SBI 26K for the iPhone, here in India.

I havent had problems as such with the k750i joystick. Towards the end, it did become a tad less smooth to use, but was not much of a problem.

Apparantly, the k750i joystick design allowed dust to enter the contact area inside, which caused a faster failure. Newer SE joysticks are supposed to be better designed.

Not sure of the current price but you can add 2k over what ever price u get it for cos the M2 memory card is quite expensive at 4k for 1GB card. How ever you can get it for like 2k at National market (b'lore's chore bazar)

Welcome it was taken near ShivanaSamudra-gaganchukki falls. Was a deviating road off limits to civilians but....

I thought the same but my 790i joystick is now (after 7 months of heavy use fone, cam, music, internet) showing signs of trouble especially moving it down. Guess changing the joystick is not a big deal if it goes kaput.

Now after taking around 1500 pix from the fone i get some probs with the cam some times. That is it keeps on hunting for focus and does not click some times. Have to click very hard to get the pic. But this happens very rarely and it gets alright on its own!

Have seen a pic of it some where, and it gets quite dirty if we dont meticulously clean every day. That is muck accumulates around the round buttons. Also the space in between the buttons catches finger prints easily and collects dust too!. So though the retro look looks good, have to clean it often else it will look shabby.

Most likely a problem with the camera button.

Really nice pics (in the earlier post), BTW

Umm, I've taken 900 pics in under two months, dusty conditions, but things are just fine

and in delhi, when i bought k750, the k790 was 14.5 with 1gb and k820 (the one with image correct features) and 2gb card. i reckon condor should get similar offers (as in free card!)

The V8 has an ARM 500Mhz processor. (I think the same is used in ROKR Z6). The KRZR has the older synergy UI which was quite bad to say the least. The new linux UI is much better and faster. The ROKR z6 was only next to N95 in Java performance (jbenchmark), V8 is probably going to better it.

For GTO's requirements, there cant be a better phone than RAZR V8. Good choice! Other phones dont even come close when it comes to looks and style and now most of usability issues are addressed.

Check out the keypad if it suits u. ..Its a little different. Also the screen and the area around the numbers is shiny which makes it prone to fingerprints.

Anyways whats your budget and requirement?
