Do you plan to load the phone with 3rd party Apps? If yes, you will be disappointed.

If you plan to use it "out of the box" without any mods, then the processor will not seem slow.

The primary USP of the Touch is form, not function. Obviously one will be compromised when the other is given more importance.

I got it for 18.8.K with B & W in Blr. This is locked to Airtel. Seems to be Ok so far. Browsing experience is good in Edge as well as wifi. I dont see any hanging or slowness yet.( but as steer pointed out, my phone is also not loaded with 3rd party apps ). I will be loading it with Skype/ Fring and may be a good GPS software later ,nothing more.

And IMO it needs a bigger battery . Current 1100 mAH one is inadequate for heavy users.

hi,

i have a nokia n91 4gb phone which my wifey is using. its giving alot of trouble these days. it hangs, switches off every time i try to call or do anything. i have formatted the Hdd, i did the hard reset, now i upgraded the software but it is still the same.

cant figure out why this is happening. so please help me troubleshoot this problem as i have given up. im gonna sell the phone in a month but i need it to work properly till the time i buy a new one. please guys it is really important.

What other options do I have?
BTW, my mini just gave up on me. The display is dead

Go for another O2. Orbit or Life or Zinc.

Thats if you want a PDA phone. If you want a phone-phone I cant help you.

2 other similarlrly specced phones HTC S710( full qwerty but no touch screen ) and Imate PDAL , which I had checked. Both around 16K with B & W.

No idea about actual user reviews for both the phones.

iMate's K-Jam and its equivalent HTC/Qtek/Dopod models would done fine - these come with the older (not Texas Instruments) processor which was faster.

i can sell you a 9500 communicator used one :P

extend your budget and then you will get something, i dont think at 10 k you will find anything new, 16 k atleast

HP Ipaq 512 & IMATE SP5 are within 11k and both have WiFi.
Sorry I dont have a budget of 16k. I think i'll have to buy a mobile w/o Wi Fi itself.

IPAQ stay away, just coz of battery back up, its PATHETIC! I have one sitting on the dressing table, as show piece, just coz of battery back up.

Imate no idea.

It's the "w" as you rightly guessed. As a treo 680 user, I wouldn't go close to a windows mobile. After all...it is windows!
