Have narrowed down the above two models as per the advice of the phone shop. What do you guys recommend from the above 2 models or do you recommend any other model. Budget is approx 10k.

Please reply asap as I need to buy it today. Am getting 3.5k for her old phone.

Why dont you look at SE W810i, its a beautiful phone with loads of features for about 12K with b/w, that is if SE is ok for the user. Anyways, i think Nokia's most models are problematic. I have decided my next phone is going to be an SE, still deciding on models.

Mebbe a classic example of too many customers causing complacency towards quality

Vkocher! you can install the BLACK BERRY app on most of the N-series phones. If you just want POP3/IMAP email then there are very good applications like PROFILMAIL and others. These apps run on almost all symbian phones.

I'm using n73 and i use it for emailing , IM and blogging extensively. A friend has been using Blackberry connect on his N73 too.

so basically buy any N-Series phone emails shouldn't be a problem.

If she has been using 6230 for some time, then 6233 will be more comfortable for her. 6300 has less battery life being a smartphone and it wont be very comfortable for her.

But on the other side its more sophisticated looking and sleek.

It would be best to let her select after seeing the phone in the store.

@kooldude:

1. Try to set stereo widening and others surround presets.
2. Check the file on the pc if its sounding the same.
3. Check out the sound with proper headphones (not mobile headphones.)

then post the results.

6300 a smartphone? it's S40, just that it has a smaller battery because of the slim factor.

I was also wondering if the batteries are interchangable for nokia's. Why not just buy the phone you you like and put in a higher mAh battery from another model. the 6300 has the BL-4C 860mAh battery, why not change it with the BL-5C 970mAh from the N72 or E50. The size and pin locations are identical.

N70 is old. Screen is no great shakes. Both the 6233 and 6300 have better screens. The only think is that N70 is a S60 symbian OS whereas the others are S40 OS. if you like to install 3rd party softwares and all then N70 or even N72 is your best bet. Else go for the 6233.

You can also check out the E50 at Rs.8700. More business phone, cam is only 1.3MP and not much music features but nice package.

Also guys the E65 is now available for Rs.15600. Awesome phone. W-lan, complete business phone comes with 256MB card as well. connectivity is unmatchable.

@basilmabraham, I haven't yet seen/heard of the phone. Googled it and it loooks pretty feature-rich for 10K Fly SX210. Ultra contemporary & Mobile-review.com Fly SX210

Apparently Fly is a UK-based company. I saw it priced at 12.5K in India in a press-release (another webpage).

It and other phones by Fly look a bit like Moto's phones which is not a very good tendency in my book.

The build quality of the Fly's were really bad. A friend bought one and returned it within a week as it was beginning to fall apart. realy flimsy although it had lots of features. the bluetooth was also a bit suspect as it failed to connect to nokia sets.

heres what you should do. go to equalizer then create a new preset. put al the bars to the top then use that preset when listening through your headphones.

Hi guys,

Went ahead and bought the Nokia 6300. Now how do I transfer the contacts(approx 400) and msgs(approx 140) stored on the phone. The 6230 has the original 32 Mb Memory card in it.

Need to do it asap as I need to give the old phone to the guy I bought the new one from.
