Recently there has been lot of high decibel advertising from Tata Docomo (Tata Docomo :: Mobile Phones, Prepaid and postpaid connections) in Bangalore. Anybody tried that yet. 1 second pulse is definitely a trend-setter. I hope other players listen... else I will wait for the number portability to come in - cant give up a number I have been holding for 5+ years.

BSNL has had a 15-second pulse for it's post-paid customers for quite some time now. And it worked out good.

Only on ONE plan. The others are all on the 60 sec pulse

I bought a DOCOMO prepaid sim. The network is not impressive. Something like Vodafone network in Bangalore.

I thought vodafone has a best coverage around here !! What makes you say docomo is like vodafone ?

I want to try the docomo 1 second pulse plan. Waiting to hear from users.

1 sec. pulse.. that must first in industry. But why would they introduce such stuff ?? to cut short there profits ???

I remember there is a plan in airtel landline where dialer is charger for 3 min. weather it is 2.59 Min. call or 10 Sec. call.

All landlines have a standard pulseof 3 mins for landline and 1 minute for wireless connecctions, and it has always been like this.

@ ShajuFX, I have heard Vodafone being the worst GSM network, operationwise, in bangalore. Whenever I called them, network used to go bad randomly and frequent call drops. So if someone is moving to Bangalore anew, it doesn't hurt not to be with the leader initially.

Yes, In B'lore, Airtel provides the best coverage & service.

Not anymore. Their service is now plagued by frequent signal drops and cross connections to the point where its outright frustrating.

Mag, surprised to know that, but I didn't face any issues in my last 7 years of usage.

Tata Indicom had a 1-second pulse, now docomo...

I have bought a prepaid to try them, but the coverage is not yet impressive- I don't get a signal at home or at work :)

I have been using Airtel since five years and its the best Service provider. I am using Vodafone with Airtel for the past few months and sadly Vodsafone network is pathetic. The voice resounds on every call and the network is never constant. Vodafone says "Happy to Help" but actually they are really not helping at all.

I am talking about GSM Landline !! Normal landline is been following this rule indeed from ages.

Yes, but only for old numbers. I have an Airtel connection (974 series), and was informed by Airtel Nodal Officer that the new numbers have connective and cross connection issues.

Which made me move from airtel to vodafone without thinking twice.

I used airtel for 3 full years, but got fed up of the line drop, call failure, sim inactive issues and really had to move to vodafone without any gut feel. Now being with vodafone for 7 months, not a single incident to complain about the call qulity, though I had few blackberry issues. I agree area to area it might be a different feel.

Docomo's 1 second plan is the best I got attracted to. Network coverage might take time if they have nothing to do with tata indicom. I find pre-paid better VFM by all means. My only issue is living without the blackberry services. I doubt if any pre-paid plan offers BB services.
