Laser detection feature in the traditional brands like Uniden or Escort is more of telling you pakad gaya, expect a ticket! Quote:

TraffiPatrol XR is a laser speed gun.
The only way to detect that is through laser jammers - a device that will have a controller coupled with sensors to detect lasers, a transmitter to emit jamming lasers so that the speed gun is confused and doesn't show a reading. These are mounted similar to parking sensors (some can actually act as parking sensors too!) in the front and back.
The idea is to detect when the vehicle is being targeted, jam the laser gun's reading so that speed is not registered, slow down to legal speeds and unjam so that the speed gun records the vehicle to be within limits - and avoid trouble for jamming signals. Quote:

While Radarbot is good, it's crowdsourced data. If a mobile speed check moves positions, someone has to report it. And false positives occur for the same reason too because a mobile speed trap moved - this is similar to Waze. Between the two, I am using Waze for a long time, along with Radarbot - though Waze serves 99%.
