Which audio Cassette adapter?

I need to connect our ipod (nano) to our system in the Innova. While the pioneer in the Vtec has an AUX input, the Innova system doesn't. But we do have a cassette player in the Innova.

So i though instead of investing in another head unit, i might as well buy a good cassette adapter and connect the ipod using it.

So, i need to know which is the best one on sale today....

i bought a JVC one eight years ago. Still works.

Or else get the itrip (fm modulator).

direct ipod connectors are also available in the market costing around 4500 and get the best sound with it.

FM modulator (antenna direct connection). This modulator transmits, but not over the airwaves. You insert the car radio antenna plug into the back of this modulator, and the modulator's antenna plugs into the back of the car radio where it directly injects the signal. Sound quality is better, and less variable, than with other FM modulators.

does the unit in the innova have an aux in port at the back. then you can attach a RC cable from behind and connect to the earphone jack.

in my honda i didn't have that port at the back but had a cd changer jack at the back of the unit. i got my local electronic guy to modify the cd changer cable and connect a rc pin to it. works very well.

I have a Sony tape adaptor for my City, which came with an Alpine tape deck. I bought it in 2005 at Changi airport. I've used it sparingly because I got a CD changer soon after but it still works without an issue. It comes with power adaptor that charges the mp3 player through the lighter socket. Try Ebay India for new ones.

Well, I am surprised that there are branded options in the market. I never knew about them, but I am using a chinese type cassette adapter to plug in my Creative Zen V plus. And its doing nice duty for last 10 months. Bought for Rs.90

I bought one for 150 bucks a few days back. I inserted the cassette into my Honda city Alpine system, connected it to my cellphone, and started the music. It plays for 1 min, shows a change of side, then automatically ejects from the system. What could be the problem ?

Happened to a friend of mine once. The spools are tight, thus the deck senses that the cassette is over and changes the side.

Replace the adapter tape.
