I have no idea about these turbo sims, they are not legal also (as far as my understanding goes) but yes have seen them floating around in grey market and on ebay.

JB and unlock does create some issues with battery life, but most of the time if you do a clean re-install things should become fine. Am not an expert in JB or Unlock :)

AFAIK DEV-Team hasnt come out with the unlock for 3.1.2

3.1.2 with 05.11.07 baseband (the latest one) can be unlocked now.

Remember, whether you use a piggy back turbo SIM or use any of the software unlocks, it is considered illegal and Apple will void the warranty (if they find out).

So, in case you take it for warranty claims, ensure that you restore it in iTunes and then take it to Apple.

Also, jailbreaking will void the warranty as well - unless of course Apple knows it. You could always restore it in iTunes and Apple will never know :D

I'm having a small problem here, all of a sudden my iPhone has become slow. It takes time for it to react to anything and even the home button doesn't work properly. Why?

I've ordered for a iphone 3G / 8GB from the US. I need some help with how I can get this unlocked to use with an airtel SIM in india. I would really appreciate if someone can help me with how this can be done.

Did you try a restart and see if it helps. If not try a restore.

Is it a unlocked/jailbreak piece?

My best bet would be a restore.

Also, keep in mind that a restore will lock it back to the official carrier so you need to use unlock it again if you wish to use it with other networks. At the moment the latest firmware is unlockable by Blacksn0w.

I did try a restart but it didn't help.Haven't had the time to restore it yet, will do it asap.

It is a unlocked & jailbreak piece. But i don't think that should cause any problem, cause all thise while it hasn't.The problem seems to have cropped up recently.
