My wife uses a Supcase UB Pro which is basically a tank. You may try Supcase UB Style which has a slim profile and looks super cool. Also, my prior experience with Ringke was good too (for android). All Supcases were Mil standard certified and drop tested as per company claim. Some Ringkes are Mil standard, but not all. All of them are available in Amazon.
BTW, any clear case apart from Apple will turn yellow eventually.

Sheel, please check the Spigen Tough Armour case. It provides a lovely grip, has rubberised edges and has a kickstand too. Bought it from Amazon.in

I have been using it since two and a half years on my iPhone 11, dropped it a few times also. No damage to the phone or case, it’s still like it was on day one.

Cheers

I hope you were able to transfer chat. If not, WhatsApp just rolled out final version with transfer support for everyone. It should work now

Yes, I read the new report too. Bit late for me though, I had to go through the paid option.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Any news on iOS 16?

When will it be out and is there somewhere a summary of new features to expect from it?

iOS 16 would be available to public by mid September with the launch of 14 series.

Please refer to the link mentioned below for complete set of features:

Thanks. That is a pretty long list of features.

I am particularly interested in upgrades to iMessages, Car Play, Siri, Safari, Home Screen, Maps and Camera upgrades.

Now I have to consider if it's worth upgrading from a 13 Promax to 14 Promax.

13 Pro Max is already a beast so it would depend on the upgrades that 14 Pro series would get.

As per rumours, 14 Pro series would have a pill and punch hole instead of the notch with improvements in Front camera in respect to aperture for better low light photography and a bump to 48MP for Rear main camera.

I for one is desperately waiting for its launch in September.

Mobike008, who are we kidding here love your line “Now I have to consider”. I am sure you will have the shiny new 14 Pro Max once it’s launched. There will be improvements to the camera as well on the 14 Pro series as Abhishek mentions. One more reason which should help in making your decision

Let me say it now in advance for October 2022 or thereabouts - congratulations on your 14 Pro Max.

Cheers

I agree. It is indeed a monster from all aspects. Mine is 9 months old and still works as blazing fast as Day 1.

Historically, they make very minor tweaks to the overall design and all apple haters will start posting memes saying 11 to 14 is all same. But, it's the software that is what they make so amazing and integration of features into ecosystem is what I love the most.

They don't report megapixels, where did you get the 48 number?

Samsung and other Chinese makers will post those massive MP numbers and their picture quality will still be miles behind.

Cameras are where they focus each year for major upgrades as they know 7/10 people will buy an iPhone for their camera quality.

Haha! I would love to disappoint you Cyborg this time. I seem to have developed a reputation of upgrading each year with their flagship model.

Decided to do something drastic this time which is not to upgrade and wait for 15 (Provided Cook doesn't surprise me with some features and colors that will make me break my own promise).

Btw, the pricing is already out.

14 Promax is gonna be 100 bucks more expensive at $1199.

EDIT : Check the travelogues section for a photoblog that I shared which is all clicked from 12 Promax and 13 Promax.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Seeing a peculiar behaviour on my 2017 SE.

I dont use too many apps on the phone. And even after using one, I 'close' the app. Of late, sometimes, when am 'closing' the app I have used, I see many other apps open in the background.

I am still using 14.4.1

Free space is about 1 GB. Most of the space is used by Photos.

No plans at the moment to change it, since there are not many options in the mini range across brands. An upgrade, when it comes, is likely to be another iPhone mini.
