Walmart is selling the iPhone 5S 16 GB for $100-$150. Is is worth picking up one for use as a secondary phone? What's the procedure to unlock it?

As a secondary phone, maybe.

Subsequent iOS updates will have very little for older phones (including and up to 6).

Phones sold at full price through retail channels are generally unlocked; it not, you just have to drop an email to whichever operator it is linked to.

Hi Experts, Does Iphone 7 offline maps work on routing and location without data connectivity ?

You mean google maps? It works same as it works on an android. Downloads an update every month if I remember correct.

Hello mates. I have a iPhone 6 16GB and the app store is not opening from the past one week. The internet connection is good and I can open safari too but app store is not working. I tried logging out and logged in the apple ID too but nothing seems to work. Any ideas how to go about this?

Try killing all apps, and restarting phone once. Sometimes that solves such issues.

Apple maps do not work in India. Navigation always says route could not be established. It works in the US though. Not sure about offline.

Any app that allows you to record your phone calls?

Any particular thing to check of prior to switching on the 7 for the first time?

I had the 5S and am currently using the S7, but size issues makes me shift again, I so wanted to buy the SE [love it] but water proofing ability of 7 played spoil sport.

The Indian iphone 7 comes with Intel chips which actually reduces the speed in LTE if I remember correctly. Apart from that nothing else .

So, there is no escape, right?

I just hate having a big screen phone, very inconvenient to use for someone who stuffs phones in his jeans pocket and rides around. I don't use cars to commute.

Size won it for me, remember vb-san saying that it is almost the perfect size, 4.5 inch would have been like, made in heaven types.

Got the 32GB for 50K from e-zone. Sadly, silver wasn't available so got matt black, jet black was too flashy plus a finger print magnet.

Good choice! Matt black is better than the Jet black IMO – the latter looks a bit too shiny and attracts lot of finger-print smudges. And if I remember correctly, jet black is available only in 128/256GB options.

Thanks. I believe they have introduced the jet black in 32, may be because of low demand or something.

I used to keep the 5S w/o any cover or tempered glass, is the 7 built similar? I hate keeping the phone in a cover and that Rs. 500/1000 plastic layer limiting the screen experience to a large extent.

Must be the same. I used to 5S without any cover/screen protector for around 18 months, and now the 7 is going on in the same way for past 6 months or so. Mine is also matt black (128GB).
