P.S: my mom is freaking out. |
Time to take a full back up and restore the phone, and see if things are back to normal. If so restore from the back up and continue to use.
I don't remember the last time I fell in love with a phone, but I bought a 5S as a secondary during the last Amazon sale, and I am in love with it. Now the 5S is my primary phone and the Nexus 5X has become secondary. I am missing the back button but very little else. Hoping to have a long stay here.

What was the exact question in this case? AFAIK , Jio doesn't support WiFi calling on any phone (even on their own Lyf ones). So it's not a new info.
VoLTE is the only way to place calls and it works on iPhone 6 and later |
Well there is this new app Jio4gVoice now launched (15feb) in ios appstore too. :clap. I have been waiting for it. And seems the wait will be a bit more (currently in Mumbai and KA circles only) but will be fruitful for 5S owners like me, because as of now VoLTE works only 6 and above. This app, like its co-bro in android, would enable voice call in 5S too. I downloaded the app, but message displays that currently not supported in my circle.
Is there any software that can mirror the iPhone screen onto a Windows PC AND can work across a firewall/VPN?
My iphone 7 has been randomly losing wifi signals in standby mode and automatically shifting to 3G and even sometimes edge. The most irritating thing is that either 3G or the Edge is not able to draw data from the internet. Only when I try the airplace mode nd back to netword does it deliver whatsapp messages..emails etc. Network problem or a IOS problem or faulty phone ? Any pointers ?

In Settings > Mobile Data - scroll to the bottom and turn off WiFi Assist.

I have switched it off but the problem persisted even then.
when the wifi is turned off and the phone is completly relying on mobile data, the phone says it is 3G but the data is not been drawn into the phone. I have tried the reset the network settings technique. Now i have reset the whole phone. Let us see what happens.

Have you tried turning Data Roaming on? I had a similar issue on my 6s and that fixed the issues of not receiving data. If a reset also doesn't fix it try a clean install of iOS via iTunes.
Today morning, I had a big scare when my iPhone 6 64gb almost 15 months old suddenly stopped. My screen got maximized and hung up.
Tried the back button, then tried all other buttons, frantically kept trying only to hear the click of the screen shot.
Pic below
Finally gave up and sat thinking what to do, (had planned to upgrade to iPhone 7 a few days ago, but delayed my decision, since I would be traveling. Cursed myself for not buying the 7 as I was getting a buyback price of 20K for the 6)) then actually prayed that the phone starts.
See am travelling and felt totally handicapped. Waited some more time, then tried to switch off the phone and it did.
Finally with a prayer I restarted the phone and saw the apple logo and the phone actually came alive.
All is well now as I type this.
Phew!! Burnt a few calories sweating today morning.

Where are you getting such a buy back price?
Which variant of the 7 are you buying? Is it the 128GB one? If yes, could you please share the pricing?
Im looking to consider a similar upgrade for my 2 year old iPhone 6 64GB too.
I also burned some calories this morning, but not on account of my phone - on account of some hectic Badminton!:)

After the reset the problem seems to have gone. As of now the data roaming is turned off. Let me test it for a day, if it repeats I will resort to the reinstallation.
Ruchir031 ! Thanks for the support😊
I've come across a problem: while charging my 6 yesterday, I noticed that it was repeatedly charging/not-charging (got the sound notification each time the phone was being charged). The charger had become immensely hot so I disconnected the phone and let the phone/charger cool down.
A couple of hours later, the phone was charging but there was a problem: the screen was non-responsive to touch.
I connected the phone to my laptop to charge, and everything works normally.
Problem with the charger, or phone?
Yesterday I got a call in my phone, and my wife mentioned that she got a facetime call in the Mac at home. What setting I have to do to change this?

On your iPhone:
Settings -> Calls on Other Devices -> uncheck "Allow Calls on other Devices"
