My iphone6+ won't ring anymore. Upon receiving a call it will vibrate but not ring. Have tried what I could under settings>sounds and also upgraded to the latest OS 10.1 but nothing.
No respite from the silent treatment

Can anyone help in restoring the ring(s)

There is a small hardware switch to turn off and on the dialer - to the left of your phone just above the volume controls.

If it is pushed down and a red mark shows, then push it back up.

You may have accidentally pushed this switch when for example you removed the case on your iPhone.

Has anyone used Sandisk Connect Wireless Stick with iPhone? Read the reviews, all good.

Was wondering if its possible to upload music directly from stick to iPhone and play too?

Some reviews suggest yes but not very clear. If its true then it would be like mid air refueling and great solution.

i have heard about malfunction of the physical silence mode switch on the left that causes this. Try fiddling with that a bit to see if it clicks back to a normal mode of operation.

Of course will take ages to sync. Only supports 802.11n according to the spec I saw at Amazon so the transfer rate will be like 15 to 30 Mbps over wifi (for a N150 or N300 depending on what is being used).

That might be an older generation of the product of course - if there's one that supports 802.11ac that'd be something to see. Of course you need a wifi access point that supports ac as well - which you'd be encouraged to buy if you have one of those 70 Mbps, 100 Mbps etc type internet connections.

The question is, did he? That's bitten me more than once before when I had no intention of using the switch, but had just taken the case off to clean some dust out of it etc.

Yes, I know a couple of people have been caught off guard by this physical switch.

But whatever little I know khoj, it might not have been that red mark button for the cause of silence :)

Lets see.

Two days back while I was waiting in traffic I felt my 6S getting warm. I took it out of the case and indeed it was getting warmer! 4G was on and so was Bluetooth and not charging. First thing I did was to switch to 3D and switch off the Bluetooth. It stopped getting warmer. Kept it near the a/c vent and cooled it for couple of minutes and the phone returned to normal operating temperature. Switched on Bluetooth and connected the charger, but the phone didn't get warm.

My phone was running 10.0.4 beta.

What gives!

I had an earlier posted that my iPhone 6s got lost during my trip to China earlier this month. I had enabled the lost mode and since it had 6 digit pin and finger print authentication it's safe to say the new "owner" hasn't been able to unlock the phone. Weirdly I have started receiving daily calendar requests to my new phone and all the "family" devices in some Chinese. While I suspect this is some sort of an attempt at retrieving my Apple ID and details, I have declined the meeting requests all along. Now how do I turn this off forever? My lost phone is still in "lost mode". Do I "erase phone" to disable such spamming? If I erase the phone then does the person get to reset the phone and use it?

It was the physical button that was turned off. Switched on & ringing away now.

BTW I did reset the phone yesterday but no joy hence the post here :)

☺ Same thing happened to me a couple of times as well. They should've given a small icon on top of the screen to notify silent mode. Normally the red mark on the physical button go unnoticed.
